Directly at Chingford station, Pat Pong is one of the city’s favourite casual Southeast Asian restaurants. A magnet for foodies from all across the Greater London area, this Chingford restaurant on Station Road offers their creative Thai cuisine at an affordable cost, and in an environment that’s comfortable yet sophisticated. Utilising ingredients like galangal, lemongrass and Thai basil, Pat Pong’s kitchen keeps their cuisine as authentic as possible, and as fresh as it gets.
Steps from Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge and Chingford Golf Course, Pat Pong on Station Road delights eastern London locals with their Thai specialities, featuring all the favourites from plah goong to gaeng ped (Thai red curry). With plenty of meat-free options, this is the perfect place to visit with that vegetarian in your life, and there are of course numerous beef, chicken, seafood and pork dishes to go around.
At Pat Pong, you can’t go wrong with any of the dishes on the Chef’s Recommendations section of the menu. For big eaters, we recommend the sie khong moo, ribs marinated in pepper, garlic and honey sauce or the pou nim tord, deep-fried soft shell crab with a tasty homemade sauce. The pad tao huu sod is a particularly delicious vegetarian option, and the duck spring rolls are the perfect side item or appetiser. The menu at Pat Pong in London’s Chingford is too lengthy to summarise properly, with rotating specials regularly, so it’s best to see for yourself – book ahead or risk missing out!
Lovely meal and staff very attentive. Portions are big and reasonably priced. Salt and pepper squid is must for starters and weeping tiger as a main.
