About Pat Pong
Dear Diners, This restaurant is open all day on Mother's Day
Directly at Chingford station, Pat Pong is one of the city’s favourite casual Southeast Asian restaurants. A magnet for foodies from all across the Greater London area, this Chingford restaurant on Station Road offers their creative Thai cuisine at an affordable cost, and in an environment that’s comfortable yet sophisticated. Utilising ingredients like galangal, lemongrass and Thai basil, Pat Pong’s kitchen keeps their cuisine as authentic as possible, and as fresh as it gets.

Steps from Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge and Chingford Golf Course, Pat Pong on Station Road delights eastern London locals with their Thai specialities, featuring all the favourites from plah goong to gaeng ped (Thai red curry). With plenty of meat-free options, this is the perfect place to visit with that vegetarian in your life, and there are of course numerous beef, chicken, seafood and pork dishes to go around.
At Pat Pong, you can’t go wrong with any of the dishes on the Chef’s Recommendations section of the menu. For big eaters, we recommend the sie khong moo, ribs marinated in pepper, garlic and honey sauce or the pou nim tord, deep-fried soft shell crab with a tasty homemade sauce. The pad tao huu sod is a particularly delicious vegetarian option, and the duck spring rolls are the perfect side item or appetiser. The menu at Pat Pong in London’s Chingford is too lengthy to summarise properly, with rotating specials regularly, so it’s best to see for yourself – book ahead or risk missing out!
The staff at Pat Pong always give Excellent service. They always provide Excellent food just the way you want it cooked. We always enjoy going there and look forward to the next time.
Always lovely food and good service, been going for 15 plus years with friends and family. Staff friendly no polite. Everyone loves the food. Excellent
It was a great anniversary occasion and liked the idea of being to do the booking through Quandoo in the last minute since the restaurant was closed during the day and no reservations could be confirmed.
We visited on a Saturday night, the restaurant was full, the food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and there was a good overall atmosphere
This was our second visit to Pat Pong - my husband and I were celebrating our son getting his degree. On arrival we waited a couple of minutes for our table ready as we requested seating at the rear. Our drinks order was taken and we dived into the lovely complimentary spicy crackers - delicious. We had the platter to start, followed by pad thai noodles, green curry and rice, ladies fingers and scallops. All we can say is the chef should be crowned because the food is FABULOUS!! and great service too. This Thai restaurant is by the far best. We highly recommend
A lovely table in the middle of the restaurant, we were seated within a few minutes. There were already prawn crackers on the table and we had drinks within a few minutes of ordering. The starters came up piping hot, however they forgot to give us a finger bowl for the ribs. We then waited 15 minutes for our main which was just right so that we could digest our starters. Our plates were piping hot and the staff were attentive to empty glasses and dishes and took them straight away which meant we didn't have a cluttered table. The restaurant was packed with a couple of birthday party guests and the whole atmosphere was conducive to a lovely evening.
This was my husband's and I first visit and we were impressed. We were seated promptly and our request to have a table at the back away from door, as I get cold easily was honoured. The waitress was a bit hasty in wanting to take a drinks order as we hadn't sat down (the only downside). We had the sharing platter to start which was absolutely delicious and our mains was equally so; my noodles were the best I've tasted. The portions are a good size and everything was hot. Ohhh and you get complimentary spicy crackers. The service and atmosphere was great. We had a fab nite, will be going back and would absolutely recommend.
We have been going to Pat Pongs for several years and always enjoy the food and the service. The standard is very good and the service by the staff is excellent. However if you sit at a table near the entrance it can be drafty when the outer door isn't closed properly so go for a table in the middle or the back of the restaurant.
Went here last night with my wife, first impression was it was full up and noisy. Ordered a bottle of wine they didn't have so had to pay a little extra for another. Ordered food and it came promptly, all the food was lovely and we'll presented. Food was a little bland and sauces a bit thin. But not too bad. Overall impression restaurant was lovely staff attentive, food not perfect but still good. Would we go again? Yes but would avoid the wines as very expensive and they had no Red house wine. Two of us on a spend of £75 not cheap but would have been fair if the £25 bottle of average wine was left off. 4 star.
We had a great evening at Pat Pong. The restaurant was busy, but the food didn't take too long to arrive and it was delicious. We have always had a great experience when eating here and we'll be back.
I went for my (gasp) 50th Birthday last night 19th November 2016. Table pre-booked online the night before for 20:45 for 4. The service and food was lovely! I would certainly go again am am thinking which friends to bring next! The food was tasty and delightfully presented and the drinks a nice finish to the evening. This is a place for special occasions, but somehow I think this will become my regular guilty pleasure!
Its simply the best, the food is always fresh and the service is always excellent. We order more than we can eat to get a variety, then ask them to box up what we don't eat for a nice meal the next day or we freeze it for another day. Its usually just the two of us. They do put 10% service charge on the bill and we always tip them a little extra.
As always, great food and service. I hadn't eaten at Pat Pong for many years having moved out of the area. But having returned, I was delighted to see the level of service had remained exceptional
I love it here, best Thai food ever! My partner hadn't eaten Thai food for 15 years after a bad experience elsewhere; went here last night and he is already asking when we can go back! The food is fresh and delicious, great service and comfortable surroundings; couldn't ask for more. Patpong platter (starter) and Tom Yum soup went down particularly well. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely meal at Pat Pong last night. Food gorgeous, and service attentive but unobtrusive. Looking forward to returning - it had been way too long since I was last there.
Celebrated to late Birthdays tonight at Pat Pong as always friendly staff promptly seated and drinks ordered delicious food great service lovely desserts we always enjoy our evenings here!
Lovely, friendly and efficient staff. The food is fresh, full of flavour and delicious! The atmosphere is wonderful. It is always a pleasure to dine at Pat Pong.
The food is great I've been here before but not for some years so I thought I'd takes some mates that have never been they were all impressed with the food and would go back. The food as so much taste to it. We will be returning again at some point in he future .
Brilliant restaurant with superb food and service. We have now visited Pat Pong several times and can say it just gets better every time we go x
Great food Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. We celebrated a birthday in Pat Pong tonight. Food as always was delicious. Soft fried card was tasty and moreish.
Fantastic food and service too, plus is cheap, I'd recommend my family and friends to Pat Pong, I'm looking to celebrate my daughters birthday party there
Pat Pong is an old favourite with all of our family - and a regular haunt. Food is always high quality and reliable. Service impeccable.
We had a pleasant evening in Pat Pong, it was busy and buzzy and the food arrived in good time and was tasty and fresh. We will be returning soon.
Food was very good as usual but there was a mess up with the order so it delayed us starting our meal, also the other food had to be reheated as was getting cold, this is unusual as we have eaten there lots of times and we will definitely be going back. All the staff are very nice.
We went for a family meal on the weekend before Halloween. All the staff were in fancy dress as zombie nurses which was a nice touch as our daughter loved their costumes. She's a big fan of Halloween. We don't often go out to eat in Chingford so we weren't sure what to expect but had a good time.
Excellent atmosphere, service and food at a great price. I ordered the salt/pepper squid to start and the duck curry for main. Only 'very' small criticism, if any, is there is only one choice of white, red or rose wine by the glass.
The food was excellent, the service, I felt a little rushed. Have been going to Pat Pongs for about 10 years and feel this is probably the best Thai Restaurant around.
We have been here lots of times. Always good food and service. No problems with our booking they were expecting us. The staff are always attentive and made sure you were happy and had drinks etc. We had a good evening.
The food was great and the portion sizes was really good. We had the tempura prawns and spare ribs for a starter I highly recommend them. For mains we had the sweet and sour cod, tiger prawns with cashew nuts and coconut rice, very happy with our choices.
We are regular diners at pat pong and know most of the staff, the food and service was up to its normal very high standard and it is one of the best restaraunts in the ara f not the best.
Brilliant restaurant The food was excellent plenty of variety and flavours The menu was easy can't really go wrong fairly priced @£35 per head The staff was welcoming a good experience all round would defiantly recommend and return 🙌🏽
We are regular diners at pat pong we like their food very much and we have become very friendly with the staff who we find of the highest quality we do live locally but we would go to the pat pong if a journey was needed.
We ate here for the first time on Mother's day. It was busy, but we did not wait long for the food to come. We asked for a baby's high chair which was accommodated. Overall a very good experience and the food was great too.
Fantastic meal staff very attentive would definitely go back. Great range of dishes on the menu reasonably priced. Good atmosphere. Took a friend for a meal as she was visiting London. We had an amazing time
The food was very nice but the service wasn't good at all , The staff wasn't on hand as much as they should've been. When we go to the restaurant we stood around and no one came up to us, they didn't check to see if everything was ok whilst we were dining
Excellent family meal. I have eaten here a few times and the service and food are always excellent. The restaurant was busy but the service was exceptional. Would advise that you book to avoid disappointment.
The food as always was amazing (we usually get takeaway but had never sat down to eat at the pat pong) service with a smile in a lovely restaurant and our friends liked it too
Managed to get a last minute table at Pat Pong in Chingford on a Friday night. Fast service and good food. I would go back again.
We always have a lovely meal here and regularly recommend to friends and family. The food is great , the best in our opinion. The staff are attentive & friendly we always leave satisfied
Lovely food as always. Service was good . We brought our own birthday cake with us without notice and the restaurant happily provided us with plates ,cake knife etc and sang happy birthday!
Great food, not too spicy. The staff provides attentive service and is very friendly and engaging. We've been there numerous times and it's very consistent. Our favourite Thai restaurant in north-east London.
We always love our welcome at this restaurant and the lovely food. Our only problem is getting away from the favourites to try something different. Try the Chef recommendation salmon curry. Magic!
Lovely food with excellent service. Liked how they left reasonable time between courses for us to enjoy the evening instead of feeling rushed, it made all the difference and completed the evening.
As always pat pong was as good as ever the food, staff and ambience of very high standard as always.my only reservation is that they no longer do the water chestnut desert anymore.
The sea bass was fresh and delicious. All the ingredients tasted very fresh. Service was excellent. It was the first time also for our company and they enjoyed it as well.
Great authentic Thai food, service with a big smile! Lots of choice and tasty with it! Good value for money. Atmosphere great. Prompt service. One of our favourite places to eat.
First time I used the service and it was easy to use. There were no hitches and the table was ready for us at the appointed time. Will use Quandoo again.
A lovely experience and one we will enjoy again. Wonderful food with all the enhancing subtle Thai flavours which brought back memories of our holidays in this country. Very good service.
Brilliant restaurant the best and in north London the staff are lovely and really helpful. The food is brilliant and always have a lovely time each visit thoroughly enjoy our visits
Food and service excellent as usual. No wonder people keep going back. The starters are specially good - it's worth going there for those alone. Our only slight criticism is that the noise levels were rather high.
