We know, we know. When a restaurant comes under new management there’s always a few nerves, from the diners as much as from the new management. Rest assured, however, there’s absolutely no need for pre-meal nerves at San Lorenzo’s — Beamish. Here you’ll find as good an Italian as anywhere in Stanley and it’s excellently located on Station Road in Beamish, just a stone’s throw from the famous open-air Beamish Museum. One of the biggest compliments we can offer the new-look San Lorenzo’s is that regulars who have been dining here for years are still returning – and with even more enthusiasm than they had before – not least because of the relaxing decor and warm service that greets them every time.
The early bird menu is always a win – available until 6pm everyday except Friday and Saturday, when it’s available until 7pm – and diners can select either two or three courses from a condensed menu. The value is unbeatable and you will be satisfied. The main menu offers a great selection of antipasti starters, as well as pizzas baked in a traditional Italian pizza oven and pasta coated in some of the finest sauces in Stanley. A standout from the meat section of the menu is the pollo saltimbocca, chicken breast stuffed with sage and mozzarella, wrapped in parma ham and served with a red wine jus, but there’s plenty more besides. Beamish will continue to love the Italian flavours at San Lorenzo’s, so reserve your table now.
