We don’t know of many better places in Ropewalks than Petit Cafe du Coin if all that your heart desires is elegan French-style dining. Yep, this charming area of Liverpool is lucky to have this even more charming cafe that’s quite the specialist in wine, cocktails and cheese. To be found on Berry Street, the interior of Petit Cafe du Coin is rustic and warming with plenty of dark wood and dark, emerald green. If it weren’t for the welcoming buzz of a few scouse accents here and there you’d almost certainly think you were in Paris. For a fine French time, reserve a table at this Liverpool gem today.
This little gem of a bistro filled the awkward tea-time gap nicely. Up 'till 6pm they serve brunch - Eggs Florentine, 3 different salads, soup, goats cheese tart etc. etc. I had avocado and sun-dried tomato on toasted sourdough with poached egg, it was gorgeous, with a nicely dressed salad garnish. My 4 friends had salads, the tart and a croque monsieur which they all enjoyed- clean plates all round!! The staff were really helpful, and seemed genuinely pleased to see us, advising on wines, of which they have a fine selection. Service was slow, for which they apologised, but we didn't mind a bit as everything was freshly prepared, with great attention to detail. The premises are on the ground floor with one doorstep. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet. We loved the cosy decor, twinkly lights and the green frontage. Just lovely.
The cafe bar is awesome and the staff are very helpful. The gypsy jazz on friday nights is not to be missed. Make sure you dress lite it can get hot inside
Great service and atmosphere. We particularly loved our waiter who was extremely friendly and put a smile on our faces. Would definitely visit again if we are in Liverpool.
