Good safe car parking with Friendly helpfull staff, a good range of food with daily specials and value for money with a varied selection of drinks on offer.

I attended the Poachers Cottage with two young grandchildren at tea time.There is ample parking.The meal selection for all three of us was good and the food was excellent.The service was friendly.I will certainly go again.

Always consistinly good, excellent menu choice including large and small meals, great value for money very good drinks choice. Family friendly with a nice atmosphere, good service too !

Food was OK but nothing special but good value for the price. Friendly staff and nice place but a little shabby in some areas e.g. carpets and toilets. Friendly and helpful staff are one of its strength and make the difference.

great service and food as always - friendly family run pub we were celebrating and the service was fast and efficient the steak was cooked perfectly.

Food amazing as always. Pleased we booked a table as it's always so busy, we wouldn't have got a seat otherwise. Service good even when they're rushed off their feet.

Fantastic quality food with large portions at great prices. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Ample menu with something for everyone. Will definitely be back again.

One of my guest cannot eat tomatoes waiter was told this but what do we find on his starter and again his main meal tomatoes so was annoyed that this happened

Nice friendly pub, food arrived quickly and tasty as usual. Menu maybe could be updated as it’s been the same for a long period of time, or have a few more specials available

Excellent meal, cater well for gluten free highly recommend will definitely be back. The bar and restaurant has a really good atmosphere making it very welcoming.

Lovely place with a nice atmosphere all really enjoyed our food, there is a wide range available to suit all tastes, great place to stop of before the airport.

Very good food, great service and generous portions. The place has a friendly and fun vibe and really good entertainment. You can definitely make a night of it at very reasonable prices - superb value for money .

Lovely meal .couldn't fault it. Couldn't fault the service. Always order unsocialable combo chicken and prawns with a creamy sauce . Couldn't fault any of the meals served to our table .

Lush homemade food large portions amazing 👌🏼Definitely would go back , staff excellent really good family night . Homemade chips like mum used to make and very reasonable prices .

Lovely food and good service, staff were really pleasant much nicer than it used to be. I think it has been taken over, food is just as good but the service has improved so much happy staff makes such a difference.

Excellent service & very accommodating. We arrived just as the restaurant was opening at 10:55am. Excellent communication between front counter staff & kitchen to ensure we were served in time before our check in at Newcastle airport for 12 noon. Lovely food & will definitely use again.

Myself and my two daughters went for our lunch on a Thursday. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our meal was tasty . This pub gets quite busy even mid week so they are obviously doing something right.

Food was excellent, service was very good even though the Resturant was full. Good meal, good beer and friendly staff. Already booked for next week.

The pub needs a good deep clean and revamp, but the food is always excellent! Staff friendly, service quick. Just wish the place wasn't so grubby looking!

We found our table to be clean in a dining room that was not too crowded and the meal was served quickly and tasted good.

Food was amazing. Staff were really well mannered. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely be going back. Prices were good aswell. Didnt have to wait ages for oyr food which was brilliant.

Food and menu very good. Only complaint we will look to see if entertainment is on next time we visit. Music was to loud for us.

Haven't visited the pub for some years, friendly welcome, good choice of food available at reasonable price. Food was good and served promptly, only gripe was desert, I ordered the deserts and after 30 minutes they hadn't arrived, so went to chase them u,p and found the order hadn't been placed due to a computer glitch between bar and kitchen. We were then told that due to a freezer problem some deserts weren't available , but we were refunded the cost of all of them and offered alternatives free of charge to compensate for our wait, which was a nice gesture. Would still go back again., as this was only a minor problem.

Lovely meals, the 2 different 16oz steaks cooked exactly how was asked, the mixed grill was also huge, other 2 meals were just as good, all of us had the meals with chips which were very hot and homemade. Would recommend to anyone and best steak and mixed grill in ages

Good food and friendly staff. It is good that one can reserve tables at the Poachers Cottage. Hopefully this pub will not become part of a chain which so often sees a reduction in food quality as has happened at a nearby pub.

Had a lite bite scampi and chips, kids had sausage and chips - we all cleared our plates! Fantastic food and service, such a lovely astmosphere and very family friendly.

The food as always was excellent, but they were extremely short staffed which meant big delays and I think it's about time they invested in a refurbishment. Looking very tired and worn, especially in the toilets.

Fab food and service as usually at a great price . Never have I been disappointed and also the band tonight were great as well. Would highly recommend

the overall experience was a nice night out 4 meals were lovely no problems, fish and chips let them down, two pieces of fish but they were taste less very disappointed, but service was very good, but they need new tables and an uplift.

Worth booking ahead,good food,generous portions.Family of 3,all had 3 courses with bottlewine & beer around £60..Could do with a deep clean (food splats on paint work etc) & lick of paint.Better hand drying facilities in toilets.Will quite happily visit again in the future.

We arrived early, but our table was already prepared for us in a nice spot, ordering food was very easy, and served in very good time, all staff were helpful.
