Poachers Cottage

A joke from the moment we walked in to the end. Someone clearly didn't read the notes via the online reservation in regards to a high chair as they put a table which we couldn't even get to with the pram. This is due to so many tables and seats you have to walk sideways between them all. We had to search for food menus as there weren't any. We ordered at 1.20pm and our mains arrived an hour later. My meal however was returned four times as it was completely wrong, cooked wrong and then had part of it missing. I won't be coming back.

Great food not the frozen rubbish that most restaurants are serving and to top it off was a live band only expected to stay for an hour or two but stayed the whole night would definatly go again and the staff are very friendly and helpful thank you for a superb evening.

A great night easily value for money staff always there to help you, a brilliant traditional pub with great food and will be visiting again no doubts there.

Good booking system, nice beer, but they did not deliver when asked if they could make the chilli spicy, hence the one point deduction, making me suspect that it just a general vat of chilli.

Although we were early our table that we booked was ready for us. Food and service was excellent. Good selection of beers and lagers. We certainly visit again.

Always Tip Top and excellent value. Would be a 6 except they "lost" the special drink I asked for , by phone, earlier in the day. Staff are allowed a mistake. They are first class. As is the food.

Poachers is a great pub/restaurant serving delicious food at very reasonable prices, it has a good choice of menu and a friendly atmosphere you won't be disappointed.

The food was served in good time, was very hot and generous portions. Staff were very attentive but not obtrusive, a very nice relaxed atmosphere

the food here is some of the best we have had. Homemade chips are so nice. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. The live band were very good. Highly recommended.

The service was quick and very friendly. Food was great, big potions and everyone enjoyed their meals, pudding was lovely too. We definitely recommend It.

Food fantastic and lovely atmosphere, staff very helpful. We use this bar/restaurant all the time and never had a bad meal. They also have entertainment weekend and quiz through the week, highly recommend.

Great food. Served hot and good portion size. Great choice on menu. Only downside was having to wait in queue for food orders to pay bill. Will definately be back with the family.

Another great night at the Poachers Cottage in Callerton,good food and good prices,excellent entertainment from live band Frankies Cafe,always enjoyable night out,food,quiz nights and live music.
