Street food just got stylish over at Portland Street 358 in Liverpool’s Wavertree area. At this trendy joint down on Smithdown Road, comfort food classics with international influences are dished up, with a lengthy list of cocktails and ice cream floats to go along with them. Taking the fast out of fast food and replacing it with tonnes of flavour instead, the menu is packed with delicious options – the pizza fries are quickly becoming the talk of the town!
With exposed brick walls and industrial-style wooden benches, Portland Street 358 is one of Wavertree’s most stylish eateries. Drawing inspiration from all over the globe, diners can tuck into a range of international street-food at this exciting Liverpool restaurant. Try some bunny chow – a hollowed out loaf bread originally eaten by South African rail workers which comes with a choice of fillings – or a tandoori roti flatbread like the Caribbean chix, filled with char-grilled jerk chicken and served alongside lemon & mint cabbage, salad, chilli ketchup and garlic cream.
Obviously no street food menu would be complete without a range of burgers and you’ll find an array of them at Liverpool’s Portland Street 358. It’s the pizza fries that are attracting the crowds to this cosy Smithdown Road joint though, and with options like margherita fries smothered in melted cheese, cherry tomatoes, basil and cracked black pepper, and the Tennessee fries topped with pulled pork, mixed beans and drizzled in honey BBQ sauce, it is no surprise why! Book a table at this Wavertree restaurant to try some yourself.
Excellent service even though it was busy on Mother’s Day. Food was as good as ever. Had the breakfast menu with an excellent full array to choose from.
Brilliant loved it. Food was delicious & good value too. Service was ok it was a Saturday night so they were busy but nice staff. We will be back
Good service and very nice food. Sticky chilli ribs were very nice, good variation of food on the menu. Will be visiting again very soon, highly recommend
Had the bunny chow and also shared pizza fries and both were excellent, left feeling extremely full.
The food was nice. I ordered Cajun steak and chips... I would have scored them a 6 but the Cajun rub on the steak was far too salty and I've recently learned that when my brother visited afew weeks ago he actually thought the same thing. it was a shame because the steak itself was cooked perfectly. However, overall we really enjoyed it here and the waitress was lovely x We ended the meal sharing the double donut dessert. That was filth! By filth I mean, SO GOOD
The staff were really friendly and the service was excellent! The food was incredible too; it tasted amazing with really respectable portion sizes. I had a bunny and shared a pizza fried with a friend, I was full after just this but still found room for one of their desserts! Everything was really reasonably priced too. I will definitely be going back and I would recommend to anyone thinking of going!
Fab! Great service and the food was the as amazing as it looks! Would definitely recommend Portland Street 358 to anyone looking for a place to eat, well with a visit!
A Wednesday night , the place was buzzing , just right , music a bit loud but the guy turned it down , out with friends and needed to talk ... Ribs and the pizza chips where to die for ... Only comment negative = needs a hand rail on the stairs which are quite steep and they had no soda water
Would definitely visit again! Food was really tasty! I had the pulled pork chilli flat bread and my other friends had the sassy burger and beef curry with sticky rice oh and sweet potato fries to share of course! There so much nice food to choose from and the service was spot on too!
My 1st visit here today, nice surroundings, clean and tidy. The service is friendly and organised. The breakfast menu had plenty of options. The food was served in good time, we'll cooked and tasty. I will return and also recommend it to family and friends. Well done Nick who was running the place.
