We recommend beginning your meal with something from the tandoor, like the nazakat (delicately spiced chicken served on a skewer) or the tandoori king prawn.
Then, move on to a mouthwatering curry such as the lamb halim (lamb cooked in lentils, fried ginger and garlic), the Goan fish curry or the chicken tikka massala. Great service and lovely meal! We were recommended and we were very impressed so will definitely return and recommend to anyone who likes fresh and home cooked food with great flavours
Lovely meal, always fresh and delicious. Service great and would recommend. Will be back again soon. Must try if you haven’t been it’s the best curry in Cambridge
Best Indian Restaurant in Cambridge would highly recommend. Quite expensive but we'll worth it Be sure to book as the restarrant gets very busy especially at the weekend.
I have eaten here many times and it never disappointes, great food and great service. The restaurant is clean and easy to manoeuvre between tables and chair. I would always recommend this restaurant.
We had a very good evening with lovely staff who were very attentive & knowledgeable. Quality of food excellent & bit different to other restaurants nicely presented and flavoured. House wine well priced and good. It was Sunday so not too busy. Only criticism would be that on a busy night the tables would be too close together, one or two less tables would make the experience more private. Overall a very good meal & occasion.
This is a very different type of Indian restaurant. The emphasis is on the flavours of the natural ingredients, not overpowering everything with spice and heat. Personally I don't think there was any attempt to explain that when we went in, nor did I see anything on the menu setting out their philosophy. As such it took some adjustment to fully appreciate the experience! The hottest dish on the menu would have been labelled mild in any other Indian restaurant and the aubergine side dish actually tasted of aubergine!
2nd time we have made the trip to Cambridge for a fabulous Indian and can't see us going anywhere else. Staff, Food, Service all Fantastic. They are happy to help with any request for food or a specific table. I don't want to say you must try it otherwise they will always be fully booked ! What a great place - Thank you everyone at Prana From Tony & Debbie Harris
My friend and I enjoyed the ample starters. I would have been happy if they were my entire meal. My main course, not described as 'mild', was probably the most tasteless Indian dish I've ever had. The staff were good in exchanging it for something more flavourful, however. The meal, overall, was more expensive than seem justified. While I had been told the only option was the Valentine's Day special, it appeared that other customers were ordering from the main menu and not having to have all the courses of the 'special', more food than I wanted.
Prana was recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. I had the Ghost Kata and it is one of the best curries I have ever had, and the rest of my party agreed with the quality of the food. I will definitely be coming back.
Very tasty all the way through the set course meal. Being new to Indian food though we could have used a little more guidance in knowing what was what. Also, a table for two gets quite crowded with multiple dishes, a bottle of wine etc. good thing we didn't also ask for water.
