Quindici of Loughton – Italian food in Essex doesn’t get much better than this. On York Hill as you head north from Loughton Underground into the centre of town, Quindici restaurant is a family-run restaurant that strives to source only the finest ingredients from local markets and suppliers, and the result is that dishes are as beautiful to look at as they are to taste. You can expect traditional Italian cuisine prepared with plenty of modern twists, and from the a la carte we’d recommend mains like the linguine with fresh crab or the fillet steak with your choice of sauce. The Quindici Loughton menu won’t overwhelm you with choice like at some Italian restaurants, as the name of the game is quality, not quantity. We love this place and we’re sure you will as well. Best to reserve ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
My friend and I ordered the same seafood linguine and both were very disappointed with the lack of mussel meat. The shells were quite literally empty and with none of the meat in the linguine either! We pointed this out to the very friendly waiter but nothing was done to rectify or even acknowledge this for us other than removal of the dish with all the empty shells. Quite disappointed as it was otherwise a very tasty dish and friendly staff.
Lovely restaurant and very accommodating. Waitress was very nice. Really enjoyed the food. Had the fish specials and the salmon main was exceptional. Would definitely go back and recommend.
Friendly, attentive staff. Quick service. Tasty food with sizeable portions. We sat outside as it was sunny. My only criticism is music inside always seems a bit too loud. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
