Contemporary Persian cuisine is the order of the day at Reyhana Restaurant on Malden Road. Ridiculously low prices for ridiculously delicious food. And plentiful portions. Come very, very hungry. Low on atmosphere, high on flavor, simple menu options. Highly recommended.
The service was really poor, the waiter was hesitant to give us the lunch menu (because it was cheaper) and stated the lunch menu was from 1-4pm when in fact the menu itself had 12pm - 4pm. From the get-go this irritated him and the service went downhill. We waited almost 30 mins for drinks and starters, some food was missed off the order and some of the party walked away hungry. I've had a pleasant experience before but just on this occasion the service was horrible and for that reason I won't be going back although everyone who did get their food loved it.
Really delicious food and very friendly service. We're lucky to have such a good local Persian restaurant. Portions are huge, and they're very happy to give take-away cartons. Excellent value and will certainly come again.
For those looking for authentic Persian cuisine in London’s Kentish town, Reyhana Restaurant is the ideal place to go. Serving up a blend of old and new Persian dishes, this Malden Road eatery can cater to those looking for an entry-level course in Iranian food and Persian kitchen fans alike. Find chellow kabab koobideh (finely minced lamb kabab served with saffron rice and grilled until succulent tomatoes), traditional makhsus (also a kabab, but will filleted lamb meat) as well as warming Persian stews.
There’s little from Reyhana Restaurant on Malden Road in London’s NW5 to hint at the quality of the food coming from the kitchen inside. A very ordinary shop front belies the legion of fans which stream in and out of the restaurant every day. Persian food fans should consider making a reservation if they plan to head down to Reyhana at the weekend, as the place is regularly full, it’s easy and quick to book with Quandoo online or on the go with the iOS and Android capable app.
