Despite its recent opening in 2016, the word is already out about Rom Mai Thai Cuisine. Running restaurants has been in the owner’s family for three generations now, beginning originally with a bakery and factory in Thailand’s Nakhon Pathom and leading to six different restaurants across the country. Luckily for the people of London, the family is keeping up the legacy conveniently on Rocks Lane in Barnes, where you can try out the same specialities made in their restaurants in Thailand. Head chef Wat makes each and every ingredient from scratch, trading out pre-made chilli sauce and curry paste for the recipes that his ancestors have been using for centuries in Thailand. A truly unique Thai restaurant, Rom Mai Thai Cuisine stays busy – book ahead of time to snag your table!
Really deleciuos food - lots of choice too. Generous portions. The staff were lovely - the manager was very accommodating, professional and friendly. A great little spot for good Thai cuisine
Delicious food, swiftly produced. Friendly people. It’s honestly the best Thai restaurant we’ve had locally in the 25 years ive lived here - and there have been many.
The food was mainstream Thai and very good, and the service friendly. The lighting was a bit too subdued so the atmosphere could be improved a bit.
One of the best Thai Curries I've ever had. Very good and friendly service. Will be back for sure and soon! Glad I found it
