We were impressed Lovely food and service really enjoyed our evening

Great value for money with good choice of meats and veg from the Carvery which is available every day. Staff very pleasant and good choice of other meals.

Nice food. Menu wasn't very extensive though. Restaurant was over lit and a bit canteen-like. Service was good with a nice cheerful waitress. Overall satisfactory but not one I would make an effort to return to again.

Excellent value. Really good food, nice wine, friendly staff. All together an excellent Valentine night. I recommend this place for any occasion, but particularly for Sunday lunch.

Excellent service, well presented tasty food,plenty of choice, however, there were dogs at a nearby table and a tub of water by our table. I feel dogs shouldn't be in an area where food is being eaten.

IT WAS THE FIRST TIME VISITED IN THE WEEK HAVE BEEN ON TWO SUNDAYS BEFORE STAFF VERY PLEASANT ALWAYS HAD CAVERY ON BOTH OCCASIONS EXCELLENT FOOD AND VALUE FOR MONEY SAME COMMENTS FOR LAST VISIT IN THE WEEK DEFINITELY WILL GO AGAIN.

Excellent food and service as always. Dave is always very welcoming and Monday madness is incredible value for money. For half price the portion sizes are excellent too

Very friendly staff to welcome you . Good selection of meals to choose from. Carvery excellent value. Fantastic array of fresh vegetables to have with lovely selection of meat.

Carvery was ok - good selection of veg although some of the meat quite dry. The puddings were not worth the money however. I would return but steer clear of the puddings.

Food was brilliant. Staff very lax didn't come and tell us when to go to carvery we had to make our mind up . Took an hour to see if we wanted a sweet . Drinks very slow. Good job they weren't busy as we might still be there know . As I said food spot on shame about the waiters.😞

One of the best carvary's I've been to, staff are lovely and the bar is cosy and full of character. I would recommend to anyone. Fab little camping /glamping to offer too for anyone traveling.

Have been to the Royal Oak many times for Sunday carvery and have never been disappointed. The food is always lovely with a great choice of meats and vegetables, with a pie or vegetarian option also available. Would definately recommend.

The Royal Oak was recommended to us , so we thought that we would give it a try.Excellent food . Meats were succulent the veg freshly cooked and a nice choice . The staff was very nice. We will be visiting the Royal Oak again

A great place to eat. For us the food was a little cold and the service slow despite it being pretty quiet the night we went. The puddings were gorgeous though

Starter was okay, server didn’t sell the idea of having it as she hadn’t tried it... would recommend all staff to try the menu. Main was again okay but meat was dry, no steak knife provided nor was there any follow up on how our meal was... Dessert was awful, very dry and clearly not “home made”. Server did remove this from the bill or offered an alternative but time had passed so we were happy just to wrap up our evening. Would we go back? No, food wasn’t that great, we were told they had some new staff in the kitchen but this shouldn’t compromise the quality. Service was quick and drinks orders always taken.

Fabulous carvery and great value. Staff are very friendly. They have a new range of coffees with different flavoured syrups, had the gingerbread one, proper Christmassy! Lovely 😊

Great atmosphere excellent food will be going again soon highly recommend you won't be disappointed good selection of meat and vegetables Yorkshire puddings are huge and very tasty

Great food and a warm welcome by the staff throughout our meal. Only one point to make is the food wasn't very warm and if it was warmer then it would be perfect, but overall very nice food.

A friendly welcome and an excellent meal, we had carvery and it is one of the best we have had, we will definitely go again, they have a good selection of wine and beer .Good value for money 🤗

Always great food, really good selection of vegetables on carvery which makes it an ideal place for vegetarians to dine with meat eaters. Will be back.
