Put in a far corner with back to restaurant and isolated from other customers. Had to listen to their radio with depressing news program! No heating on, I got was cold. Although phoned up before going to confirm they had pies, when we got there we were told they had no pies! Food awful! Very bad value for money.
The service was good but the vegan chilli tasted like it was straight out of a tin/jar and was accompanied with processed avocado paste! Other meals were ok.
A great place for atmosphere and food, excellent selection of drinks, I really enjoyed my draught beer!!

Staff were lovely and very accommodating. There was a mix up and they sorted it out right away. Food was very nice, would definitely come again.
We ate early, 6pm, but even at that time, there were 8 - 10 other diners. Great food, good atmosphere and friendly staff...we’ll visit again.
Very good value for money and good home cooked style food
Bit understaffed but decent service, food was very tasty but pub was a little on the cold side, would have been nice if the open fires were on
We had a lovely warm welcome in the pub, with cosy fires lit the staff and managers are very friendly and chatty. The food was lovely, I had rib eye steak which melted in your mouth with stilton sauce, rustic chips, mushroom, tomato, onion rings & coleslaw...... Phew sound like and essay😊 filled me up so much I couldn't eat a piddling. Wonderful food, warm surroundings and helpful welcoming staff.
