Food is beautiful big portions fair price staff are very friendly and helpful always a great experience never had any complaints very happy with everything about the place

Lovely restaurant, lively and fun. Cosy looking but I didn't take my jacket off but then it was a cold night. Staff excellent and authentic Italian which all makes it more enjoyable. Head waiter arranged a candle in the sweet and sang happy birthday which was funny. Very helpful watchful and courteous staff. Starters were incredible, such fine knifework and presentation and , most importantly extremely delicious. My husband and I said we don't often find homemade pastas like ravioli on menus so we both tried them out and weren't disappointed. Beautiful presentation, Tortellini was a little bland taste-wise we both said, but my husband's ravioli was magnificent and he said he'd have it again. Unusual to see burgers on the menu but my son felt like having one and had one with a fried egg in and onion rings and he said it was very good. Pizzas and garlic bread good too. It's a great place to go, lovely relaxing fun atmosphere. Paid just under £60 for four of us including two rounds of soft drinks, and three courses and coffees aswell. Will definitely be coming back.

It was my first time visiting here. Had a great meal! The food was lovely and the portions were a great size - very good value for money :)

Fantastic evening! Lovely meal and service, portions are huge so couldn’t eat it all though. Always leave feeling very full and never disappointed . Would recommend a visit if you haven’t been before.

Amazing! We had a parmo and calzone. Large portions and well worth the money! Staff were brilliant and restraunt was very clean. Will be returning very soon!

Love this place. Great food, great value for money, great atmosphere and service. It can get quite noisy at busy times but that just shows how much people are enjoying it!

Food excellent ( proper chips not frozen ones), service excellent met with a smile. Happy hour is such a bargain for what you get. Will definitely go again.

Fantastic staff. Nothing is too much for them they will make you feel very welcome. The food is delicious never heard a bad word about salvos will definitely be going again

4 of us went for my sons 16th Birthday and were greeted on arrival, very attentive staff on duty. our drinks order was taken straight away and they gave us plenty of time to go over the menu. Food choice is fantastic with a speedy service. we all had 3 courses and with 3 cokes, a pint of lager and 3 cocktails the bill was £42. Would highly recommend this restaurant as it is the best Italian in Darlington

Good choice and quality was great and staff very friendly! Only downside was that service was too quick! (How often do you complain about that though?!), just could have done with a bit more time between courses. Definitely be back

Excellent food as always, great value, great service. Chicken & prawn risotto was really good, my wife had the tortellini which she really enjoyed, our mate struggled as usual with his parmo, eyes bigger than his belly! Lovely pint of Moretti

Really enjoyed our first visit. All of our meals were excellent. The staff were attentive and very friendly. We got a pleasant surprise with rhe bill as we didn't know about tge Early Bird menu for Monday to Thursday. I would recommend Salvo's.

On entering, we were greeted by a very pleasant waitress and taken to our table. We were given the menus from which to make our choices. A waiter then came and took our drinks order. It was only a short while after ordering that our starters arrived. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented. After a short interlude our main courses arrived, with any special requests fulfilled, and sauces supplied. Lastly, we enjoyed well presented deserts. Throughout the evening the waitress checked that we were enjoying our food. We had a good food at a very reasonable price. I can highly recommend giving Salvo's in Duke Street a visit.

Friendly welcome on arrival. Service very good.i have never had a meal there that I disliked. I would not hesitate to recommend salvos to anyone. Always enjoy my visits to this restaurant.

The food was good, wasn't great in terms of quality but for the money paid it was well worth the money, waiting staff were very kind and food was served very quickly. Would return again

Little understaffed ,waited 30 minutes for 1st course but it was well worth it..very friendly staff and the drinks assortment could have been better.overall very enjoyable though.

The food was cheap but average. The staff looked unkempt (very polite though) and the puddings weren't great. We wouldn't go back as the quality wasn't great.

Food dry. Service poor - asked 3 times if we wanted a drink before we eventually got one, asked twice if we'd like to order food and 3 times if everything was ok. Bill was wrong

Lovely food lovely staff. Will come again. Pasta arribiata was delicious. I'm vegan so there wasn't a huge selection but lots of dishes could be made vegan.

Absolutely amazing! Staff were so nice,helpful. The food was good too. To me the best bit about it was the price 3 amazing courses for 8.95 and there was lots on your plate. Lots to choose from,reccomended!

Friendly and efficient service. We had an early booking so great choice of where to sit. We both had fish dishes which were beautifully cooked. Good value for money.

This was my first visit to Salvo's for a family birthday but will definitely not be my last. Friendly staff, great venue and excellent food.

Lovely food, great service and fantastic value. Sunny Up Burger with egg and bacon was delicious, as was my spicy salmon fishcakes. My beautiful partner had a black pudding starter and prawns for her main which she said was awesome. 3 courses starting at £9:99 during happy hour 😃👍🏻

Food was average, but still nice. Service was lacking, had to ask for the bill twice and then went to the bar to pay as nobody came back to us and ordered drinks which never came!

First time at restaurant and was really nice. Nice setting and staff friendly and helpful. Food was amazing with lots of choice and the three course was excellent price. Will be going back with the family.

Great value & service. Will definitely be going again. 3 course happy hour menu is excellent value for money and also has plenty of choice.

The food was great but very poor service. Waited 45 mins after main course and had to ask for more drinks and dessert, once dessert menu was given we had to ask again to order one. After a little comment we did get our drinks for free. Waitresses didn't seem to know what they were doing, kept going to the wrong tables with orders.

Table booked 7.30 arrived 7.20 told about 10 mins for table which was fine as we were early - taken to table at 7.45 .Food was nice but service not good. Restaurant was cold ( under air con) Drinks ordered during 1st course arrived after 2nd course finished . During 2nd course when asking where drinks were(15 -20 mins after ordered) told 'we re very busy' no apology for delay or ' I ll just check for you' not offered a look at a desert menu or coffee. Didn't leave a tip.

Excellent service would definitely dine there again. Food was delicious and we're very good with our children.the prices were excellent value too very good service.

i booked online and we were booked in and at the restaurant within an hour. Great meal service and value for a family of 5 on a Saturday evening. Would recommend to anyone wanting a family friendly restaurant

Staff are so lovely and check regularly everything is okay/ if you need anything etc. Had a lovely 3 course for 8.95 which is amazing as the food is gorgeous and to a high standard. Was able to take some leftover pizza home and they also boxed up my dessert. They packed it in a box for me which was very kind!
