Best Greek cuisine with an innovative twist and made from absolutely breathtaking ingredients – when it comes to the authentic taste of the Mediterranean, there’s simply no substitute for Santorini on Moscow Road. Located right at Baywater Tube Station, the restaurant has in only one year gained a reputation for culinary excellence. Try and combine their wonderful starters, Cretan cheese saganaki and grilled vegetables among many others. Or go for some whitebait and hummus – trust us, it’s amazing.
Santorini at Bayswater tube station is authentic Greek cuisine with an urban twist. Combining
both traditional recipes with a modern and innovative approach, Santorini on Moscow Road takes
pride in serving you dishes lovingly prepared and carefully cooked. With the full flavour of the
Mediterranean, the restaurant specializes in something truly wonderful. Namely, Greek food made
from fresh ingredients as well as a love for everything food. Foodies beware: Santorini on Moscow
Road is the real deal.
So, what’s for dinner? Well, start with some starters that are definitely without peer – even in The City we haven’t had Greek food this tasty and succulent. The meats off the grill like souvlaki and bifteki are proof of the love and caring that Santorini has for every single dish. And do try their coq au vin à la grecque – a singularly amazing dish that’ll make you come back time and time again. Again: If there’d be only one Greek restaurant we could have in London it would be this.
Good and authentic Greek food. Ordered the seafood set menu, very good value and lovely fresh fish.Enjoyed the new ambience as well as the place has been refurbished.
This is seriously good Greek food - I love Greek food anyway, and there are relatively few restaurants in London that do it really well: this is one of them. I have been a few times, great food, quick and friendly service, buzzing atmosphere. Recommended.
Amazing food and excellent service!!!!! You can't find food like this. It's a bit expensive though but definitely It's worth it to visit it :-)
We enjoyed our dinner at Santorini's very much - nice atmosphere, the waiter was very helpful, food and wine were excellent. Santorini's is worth a visit, we will definitely come back at our next visit in London!
Santorini is definitely the best Greek restaurant in London! We had a reservation for a table for 5 children and 6 adults (child birthday) and spent 4 hours in a very nice environment, with great music, unbreakable plates (unfortunately we dropped one on the floor and nothing happened to it!), excellent cleanness, fastest service ever, best fast-moving waiters, food arrived in 10 minutes. Seafood menu and Meat menu, plus other mains. Everything fresh and amazingly tasty. They had a song for the birthday cake moment and turned off the lights for us. We really felt like home and would like to thank them for their patience and child-friendliness. Food tasted better than in Greece! Best fish roe salad (taramosalata) I have ever had (and I am very picky when it comes to this dish, which is difficult to get right - it can be either too salty or too sour. Santorini fish roe salad was surprisingly divine)!!! My favourites: Coq au vin, Taramosalata, Lamb souvlaki, King prawns, Fava, Baby calamari. Congratulations to the team!
We booked a table to have a dinner in Santorini Restaurant. It was our second time to visit this place. The welcoming was very warm. The waiters (f.e. George) was very helpful and he offered for us a very tasty medium sweet wine. My girlfriend really loved it even me also, The starter was Saganaki cheese for both of us with some honey on it. I love to eat it with lemon as well. It was a remarkable. My girlfriend tried the hummus, but she did not like it, because it have been hard garlic taste. After we shared a chicken souvlaki which was very flavoursome and delicious, well cooked with roasted potato. George recognised us from the beginning, and we did a pleasant discuss during the evening. Finally he served for us traditional greek spirits. So all in all it was a fantastic night for us, For sure we are going back soon again!
Santorini was our "hangout" some years ago. New owner , new image - good luck! Special reason to return and we liked it! The food good, service good (it was not very popular to drink tap water). The seats along the wall could do with further padding! Unusually our waitress had a quite obvious chewing gum and encouraged us to order quickly, as the "kitchen is VERY busy". Minor thing - we had a lovely evening, the food was good, the place full! We will definitely return!
We booked for 19:00, arrived a few minutes early, and were seated. Two other parties of 2 came in after us without booking (we could hear them in this small restaurant as we were seated near the door. We were not attended by either of the 2 staff after we were seated--no drinks offered, no order taken, yet we observed that both of the other two parties arriving after us were able to order drinks and be served. The restaurant was fast reaching capacity when my wife wanted to leave because of the poor service. As I told one of the staff that we were leaving, a man entered who followed us into the street. He said he was the owner and apologized for the poor treatment, explaining that he was understaffed and the other 2 persons were awaiting him to arrive. He assured us we would be well taken care of if we returned, so we did. However, the owner became very busy attending to the full house and seeming to perform all functions of the front. He took our order but erred in bring only one of the starters we ordered. the mins were prompt, but he never was able to get back to us after we had eaten to tell us, as promised, what he was ioffering for dessert. The place was full during our entire dinner, and it appeared that it remained under staffed even after he pitched in. We finally asked for the bill. One of the staff attended to the billing and, while apologizing, also mad the excuse that another server had quit or not shown up. Very unacceptable--particularly since this was to have been a dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. Contrary to an experience with slow service at anoter restaurant nearby, Santorini did not offer any complimentary food or drink., although we were afforded a 2/2 percent concession on the service charge. The food, however, was very good.
Nice ambience and food was quite good. Not the friendliest staff we've seen when eating at Greek restaurants of which we go to a lot. However the one waitress who was working there was fantastic and looked after us really well and was the only staff member who was really warm and friendly. Table settings however felt basic with paper thin serviettes instead of proper napkins which we had to get plenty more of to see our group throughout the meal. Got food on my dress which I wasn't happy with as the tiny paper serviettes provided were very useless! Need to offer better quality for the price paid to eat there. Might come by here again if ever in the area but of many Greek places we go to, I very much doubt this place is one we'll remember or choose to pick when eating our favourite Greek food again.
the staff were friendly and attentive , and the food was excellent ,the portion sizes were just so , it seems the only way you can get a seat is by booking , very easy to see why , I will recommend Santorini restaurant to friends and family
