Great food, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Fantastic birthday dinner for my missus and were already wondering when we can get the babysitter back! Excellent
Great service and food. Staff were very friendly. Great service and food. Staff were very friendly. Great service and food. Staff were very friendly. Great service and food. Staff were very friendly.
Nice setting, great food, excellent service, we had a really good evening. I had a super cocktail at the bar, a lovely bottle of red with dinner, our waiter looked after us very well, polite and didn’t rush us. We will definitely be back, thankyou.
Just perfect! Wonderful environment and stunning food. Can thoroughly recommend this excellent restaurant in the cool part of a Southampton. Slightly delayed food was not problem and we were offered a free bottle of wine
Food and service brilliant. Very accommodating when plans changed after we arrived and increased table size. For the quality of food you are having I also think the prices are reasonable. Always like to eat here when visiting Southampton prior to a cruise.
The restaurant is nicely decorated with a chic feel and good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the service was great. The dinner menu had lots of choice and the food was amazing, will definitely be back.
Simon's is effortless yet attentive. From the great welcome at the bar, the good but not intrusive service from the waiting staff and the cool decor, this is somewhere that I feel relaxed in. I really like the menu selections, it's not overwhelming, but there is a good choice to suit different moods, palates and dietary requirements. I always want to come here when I'm in Southampton!
Lovely lovely food and catered for gluten free - such a nice atmosphere and quality of food will still be a regular during the end part of 2018
Whilst the food was good, my asked for her lamb to be cooked well-done, but it was served pink and was also quite cold but our Cheese souffle starters were excellent. No staff member came to check on us during the main course, we had to mention the problem when they collected the plates.
Good food as always. Menu has lots of variety. Able to order small carafes of wine ideal for one. Vibrant atmosphere. Staff polite and helpful.
Overall very good experience, bar service for our cocktails was slow, we had the same cocktails twice and my wife's looked and tasted different each time. Food was lovely.
Excellent service, very friendly and the food is superb, with a wide range and choice of menu. Ideally located. A great ambience and looking forward to the next visit.
Oxfords is different to so many other places in being owner managed. Always good food and service - and at a reasonable price. Standards are high and it is a restaurant that is well worth visiting
Whilst the quality of the food was fine the service let it down. We waited a very long time to get served all the way through, it wasn't particularly busy and so not clear why the food (and to some extent the drinks) took so long to arrive. Even placing an order took ages.
Great atmosphere .Friendly attentive but not intrusive staff. Great food - best Sunday roast I've had in a long long time [Since Ma's cooking actually. Thoroughly recommended.
Very efficient staff, comfortable surroundings , good menus, delicious food and wine. Live music, always a bonus. We sat outside firstly, aperitif and nibbles. Then inside for the main meal.
Great food, good service, with good ambience. The wine could have done with being cold when first bought to the table but it did improve in the ice bucket.
Great meal & drinks at Simons Oxfords, easily the best resturant in Southampton. Great food, drinks, service & off course Simon himself is the ultimate host & makes every customer feel welcome & valued. This resturant does quality & value with atmosphere & style.
Quiet but very pleasant evening. Food yummie. Prosseco quite expensive but overall good value. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Very nice birthday treat. Thank you.
Very lively bar , food was quite good , the duck salad was mostly duck not so much salad. The most disappointing thing was that the toilets were out of order and we had to go across the road to another restaurant to go to the ladies. No sign was put up and we were not warned about this .
The service was fantastic and was very attentive, the food great , could not fault anything about the experience,a good choice of food , would highly recommend
Fantastic experience, lovely roast and really recommend the ultimate gin and tonics
The restaurant is so lovely and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Our meals were ok but the roast lunch was overloaded and basically too big. The steaks were over cooked and a little dry.
Beautiful tasty food and service was very attentive. We will definitely comeback here. The waitress was very aware of our table and made it special.
I booked on - line and had confirmation for a table of 4 people at 6pm. Two of which hadn't eaten at this venue before. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who looked after us very well during the evening. We all opted for the 'set menu', one had steak & chips the rest had the chicken. The steak was cooked perfectly as requested by the client and was very tasty. The chicken was beautifully cooked moist and succulent on a bed of sauté potatoes. I loved this chicken very tasty with hollandaise sauce. I missed having any vegetables with this dish as it was quite a small portion. We decided to have a sweet each, one enjoyed his berry "Eton mess " but the rest had the "Treacle tart sundae" which was far too sweet, a mashed up mess, covered in chantilly cream, unfortunately we had to leave them. Overall the food was good the wine was nice and waitresses were excellent.
Great service in a fab location. So much to choose from on the menu - hard to decide what to eat! The sea bass and lentils were delicious. Will definitely come again
two of the four meals could have been better, however the overhaul night was good the entertainment was excellent. Will still go back in the future.
Went for Easter Sunday lunch, which comprised excellent food and delivered with courteous and friendly service. The price was fair for the high quality and the overall experience was most enjoyable
The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. Simon's Oxfords is not cheap so we go only occasionally. We have never had a bad meal over the years and would highly recommend a meal at Simon's at Oxfords. Our 3 course Sunday roast dinner was excellent and worth every penny. Yumm!!!!
Despite heavy snow the restaurant was open and we were served a fantastic Sunday roast and dessert.Great service, clean, friendly and in a stylish part of the city
Amazing food and fantastic service, will definitely be going again. Best Sunday lunch I have had in a long time. Would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Excellent meal and service as always. I enjoyed my roast sirloin one of the best I have had in a while. My Mum had the Roast chicken which was equaling excellent
Good food. Good service. Never been disappointed. Had the Lemon & Thyme Chicken which was delicious. Like being able to order small carafes of wine.
Service good, friendly as always. Sunday Roast very disappointing, felt like the scraggy end of the joint, very fatty, and meagre portions of meat and vegetables.
Still good but thinkthey have changed the chef on Sundays, the meat is not as good as it use to be but all round still tasty.
The staff at Simon’s were spot on, as always. We were very pleased with where we were seated. The food, service and atmosphere was perfect. As regular visitors, we would highly recommend Simon’s.
Very nice food, very very helpful staff and a nice location we will definitely go back and visit the restaurant again, it’s also a nice place just to have a drink
Great food and wine, service was efficient and pleasant, overall the evening was good value for money, the only slight downside was that the room was quite hot and attempts to reduce the temperature with the a/c had little affect.
Overall very enjoyable meal, well presented and good food. Waitress service was good. Set menu was good value and an interesting selection. My partner really enjoyed the a la carte - loved the seafood linguine ( she's from Italy)
Excellent Sunday roast. Very busy, so service a bit patchy. Kindly brought me a small roast because I was getting over the flu, but I got the full range of vegetables and a full size Yorkshire.
