When it comes to Italian restaurants in Hartley Wintney, Sorriso Mediterranean Restaurant is for many diners a done deal default dining destination. The restaurateur’s aim is to provide the freshest, most authentic Italian food available in the UK, and at least for residents in this corner of Hampshire, the mission statement rings true. The chef is Neapolitan by extraction, and therefore the dishes served up here are nothing less than the real deal. Book a table at Sorriso Mediterranean Restaurant on Hartley Wintney’s High Street now and experience it for yourself.
At Sorriso Mediterranean Restaurant, they pride themselves on using only the best quality produce. The meat is locally-sourced and delivered twice daily, including seafood that comes in fresh every day. Fruit and vegetables are hand-selected to ensure that the finest ones make the cut, and all the staff have an excellent grasp of the wines on offer to suggest the perfect match. To kick your meal off, we recommend going for the antipasti – a selection of cured meat, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and artichokes, or the seared king scallops.
Then take your pick from one of Sorriso Mediterranean Restaurant’s authentic Italian pizzas or main courses like the monkfish parcels baked with parma ham on black pasta, with mussels and clams in a white wine sauce; or the roasted lamb shank with redcurrant and port sauce, served with mashed potato and green beans. Find Sorriso up on Hartley Wintney’s High Street, just a few minutes’ drive from regional centre of Hook. To guarantee a table, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
A lovely little Italian restaurant in Hartley Wintney where we have been dining regularly over the last year. We took some friends yesterday and had another great meal in Sorriso. You can’t fault their service and good value too.
first time at the restaurant with our friends, we had a lovely evening, warm welcome, the staff are very pleasant, the food was excellent, highly recommended
Excellent food and lovely place. Very flexible with orders. The monkfish came with ham and they were able to serve the dish without the ham- sign of a great restaurant.
Lovely restaurant, good food and friendly staff. Well worth a visit. I went for the veal dish and my other half the pork and both were excellent.
Perfect food, good atmosphere and definitely an Italian feel about the place. Friendly and accommodating. Only improvement I would make would be to sort out the music. It needs good quality speakers and music to suit the atmosphere. Dinner Jazz or something Italian and classical. The music playing when we were there sounded dreadful and was nearly too loud. This isn't a complaint, everything else was brilliant but it would have been the perfect evening with good music to finish it off!
I went here for the first time and will definitely be back. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced too. A large table came in which was seated directly behind us and without mentioning anything to the server he moved us immediately which I thought was great of him.
Terrific food, and excellent service! We went as a party of five, and everyone's meal was delicious. The team made sure that we all had exactly what we wanted, even if it wasn't exactly as described on the menu. We will definitely be back.
First time we’ve been - understand menu was previously “ typical “ Italian - mainly pizzas and pasta but is now wider Mediterranean which is what attracted us . Food was very good and will be returning soon if the wider menu continues to be available .
The restaurant was lovely. The staff were friendly and joined in with our jokes. The food was fantastic with great portion sizes. It was a great night, and a brilliant place to welcome my sister back home.
Lovely environment and good atmosphere. Food was amazing. Great menu choices. Friendly staff and management. Will definitely visit again can't wait to go back as so much on the menu we wish to try.
