Spatch Edinburgh is a chicken restaurant doing all kinds of tasty in the heart of the Old Town. The motto is Spatch, rotate, eat, repeat – something with which we’re more than happy to oblige. All the chicken served at Spatch Edinburgh is barn-reared, Scottish and charcoal fired on a custom rotisserie that sits proud and smokey in the middle of the restaurant. The kitchen also serves baby back ribs, award-winning steaks and plenty of veggie dishes for those feeling less like poultry. You’ll find Spatch Edinburgh at Hunter Square next to the Tron Kirk where it’s right in the mixer for all the best stuff that Edinburgh Old Town has to offer. There are some damn good Scottish craft beers waiting for you there as well so reserve a table and head there sharpish.
Went here for date night. We were seated quickly by a friendly member of the team. Once settled in our seats & given time to look at the menu,we decided to go for the sharing platter,this consists of 1/2 chicken cut into manageable portions,rack of ribs,corn on the cob & 2 sauces we also ordered homecut chips,mac n cheese bites & haggis fritters. All the food was tasty. The staff were friendly. We will return again.
