Me and friends love spice lounge on Canvey Island service is great food lovely and staff vrry friendly use when every we go for a meal.
It's a shame!! The positive was the food was really nice. The negative was the service was really poor. Given there were only 7 tables being used we waited over 30 mins for our drinks order to be taken then almost same amount of time before food order was taken. We have been to this restaurant several times now & always same scenario. Waiter did apologize for long wait saying they were really busy?!!!
Food was good but the wait was just to say think breakfast you just needed band aid to turn up to make a evening off it
Food was a good as ever but unfortunately the same cannot be said of the service!! They seem unable to cope when it's busy and we waited over an hour for main course. We weren't in a hurry but saw two other couples walk out and one table waited longer than us and still hadn't eaten when we left. Disappointing as it was one of our favourite places for an Indian meal. Not sure we will go again. Probably just stick to getting take away from there instead.
Definitely not service with a smile. Food was ok but staff not very friendly.
