Sun Ya in Blackheath is a cosy and casual restaurant that serves an array of crowd-pleasing Chinese dishes. The menu at this London eatery offers a number of seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes inspired by the different cuisines of China. Customers can opt for Sichuan-style kung pao chilli prawns or scallops, or instead order Western-style chow mein. Regardless of what your order, we recommend coming with a group and getting a number of different dishes to share. The restaurant’s laid back atmosphere makes it ideal for meeting with whomever – whether family, friends or colleagues. Conveniently located on Stratheden Road in Vanbrugh Park, Sun Ya is a great option if you’re hungry for Asian and in the Greenwich or Blackheath areas. Book a table today!

Saturday was the first time I had ever visited this restaurant. I made a booking very late via Google on Friday for myself and a few friends to go here for something to eat before an evening of live music at a local pub. The restaurant was empty when I arrived but it soon filled up - they were fully booked and even had to turn people away! The restaurant is very clean, decorated beautifully and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic and very fresh. We really dived into the menu and the meal (for 6 of us) came to around £143 which divided between us all worked out around £23 each - and that included beer and a couple of bottles of wine. Very reasonable indeed. Certainly recommend a visit if you're looking for somewhere to eat. I look forward to returning there myself some day. Wonderful!
We have taken away before, but never sat in. We will never sit in again, there is nothing special about the experience. The food is fine, but for the extra cost we expected something more. Vaguely disappointing.
