Regardless of whether you’re a sushi-eating machine or you’re simply an amateur, you’ll find plenty of fantastic options on Sushinoen’s extensive menu. The restaurant can be found where White Church Lane meets Whitechapel Road, right at the entrance of Altab Ali Park in London’s Whitechapel area. It’s impossible to miss this local sushi joint – the izakaya lanterns adorning the restaurant’s brick exterior are a dead giveaway. Displaying a strong Japanese aesthetic sensibility with sleek wooden tables, sharp angles and artifacts, the interior of Sushinoen is stunning.
The cuisine at London’s Sushinoen is also stunning. Choose from a huge list of nigiri, sashimi, maki and temaki and build your own meal, or take a sushi platter like the Sushinoen moriawase platter or the salmon paradise. If you’re after something warm, we recommend the gyu teriyaki, a succulent cut of grilled beef served on an iron plate. The noodles at Sushinoen are especially comforting, like the seafood yakisoba or the miso ramen noodle soup with your choice of pork, chicken or vegetables. A scoop of green tea or black sesame ice cream – also available deep fried – provides the perfect conclusion to a meal at this Whitechapel Japanese restaurant. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Great service and great food! Recommend to anyone who would like to try real Japanese cuisine. The staff was really nice and the quality of food was worth its price for sure.
Friendly service and fast serving food. Presentation of food was spot on. Would recommend if you happen to be in the area. Definitely will go again.
Sushineon was fantastic! True indulgence! Atmosphere is top, staff all kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. I loved the experience there.
Really good delicious food, authentic japanese service. The food is extremely well priced given the quality of the food. I would highly recommend the lunchtime bento boxes.
Food was delicious - we ate a selection of hot appetisers and sushi. Definitely recommend the grilled aubergine and house speciality sushi called London London. We weren't rushed out the door after two hours like at a lot of restaurants in London on a Friday night. However one of the waitresses did top up our wine glasses a little too aggressively, though service in general from other wait staff was friendly and helpful.
Love this restaurant and all of my party really enjoyed themselves. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as it was a busy night it took a little while to get staffs attention sometimes but it was such a great night no one minded. Do try this restaurant, you will love it :)
Great food and very authentic, However, some of the dishes didn't seem to match their price. For example 6 pieces of vegetable tempura (2 slices of courgette, 2 slices of carrot, and 2 others covered in a light batter) for 8 quid is quite a lot. I'd eat here for lunch.
The food was good, the variety of sushi sets is not very impressive though. The service was generally good (friendly and fairly quick), but they were a bit pushy, which made us feel like we should hurry up and leave asap. A bit overpriced, in my view.
The food was as great as the first time I've been there. It is bit pricey compared to other Japanese restaurants, but the interior design, the tasty food and extensive menu make up for it. I definitely recommend the place specially for dates :)
V nice friendly staff. Food is perfect. A delicious taste of genuine Japanese food. A definite favourite. I've recommended to all my friends, I will return as many times as they'll have me. Brilliant!
Amazing food, friendly service, just great little restaurant! If you sit at the bar you can see the sushi prepared in front of you. I've been there four times and was impressed every time!
Great place - London London is amazing. Would recommend! Staff were attentive all evening despite the place being busy. Bonus that it's halal as there's not many great halal Japanese places in London
We had a large party and everyone at Sushinoen was so accommodating and really lovely. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails. I'd really recommend and will definitely visit again.
The bulgogi and chicken katsu were amazing in terms of the meat , it was so juicy. The Ramen was also very good, do were the deserts.
Fantastic Food and friendly staff. There's also great food for those not so keen on Sushi so works for all. Will be going back again for sure.
Best Japanese outside of Japan in East London. Lovely staff, great food. Would fully recommend. They took care of us and made us feel very welcome.
Very authentic Restaurant, with very good Qualität of Food. I Love the Sushi, which Is served there. Good value for Money. Staff Is very friendly. Great Place for lunch or Dinner.
Great food, amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff! The grilled aubergine with miso paste was so amazing! I always enjoy going back to this place!
Nice food and friendly service! Even though the place was busy we had a quick service. Loved the beef and chicken on the iron plate. We will definitely come back!
Great as always. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the tables upstairs make you feel like you could be in Japan! Great gyoza!
We had an amazing pre-Christmas meal here. Food was amazing, prices were good too. Think they may have been a bit short-staffed on the day, but otherwise all good :)
Very friendly and efficient service and absolutely delicious food! Softshell crab inside sushi - I was in heaven! I will definitely be going back again.
The service was excellent, fast and attentive and super friendly. Food was of an extremely high quality, beautifully presented and in very generous portions.
Food was great. Better than we expected it to be from the decor and service. I would highly recommend and the chef suggestions we had were all delicious.
First time I've ever been here and really impressed by the look and feel of the restaurant. It looks brilliant from the outside and staff are very friendly.
Deliciously fresh food, good service and nice atmosphere. My guests were very impressed. Nice to have a good quality Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. Will be back soon.
Great bento boxes and plenty of choices of sushi, shaimi, tempura, etc. We also had very friendly efficient service. Location is particularly great if you are visiting Whitechapel Gallery.
Brilliant sushi! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and look of the restaurant. The staff are very helpful and the food is very good, if a little slow sometimes.
Great service with a brilliant choice of starters, mains and deserts. A little gem just outside the city and will be returning in the near future.
very fresh food. the Sushi was delicious. while the atmosphere was calm and quiet, we were seated near the kitchen meaning lots of waiting staff were walking past us all the time
Very good Asian restaurant. We had starters, sushi and mains..all of them were delicious. Also good value and very good service. Will definitely go again!
great little restaurant, staff are extremely polite, good value for money! all halal too, so that's an added bonus! Don't see many of those around!
Great food, great prices. Easy to fimd, close to the tube station. Quiet and quick service, very helpful staff. Truly recommend a visit so on.
It was alright! Would be good if sushi rolls in bento box could be an option of both Crabstick or vegeterian, incase someone has allergies
Plastic bowls and chopsticks while charging 10%, sushi is better then wasabi' , but 62 quid for the quality you get sounds like an extortion.
