The food and service were both exceptional. I had the crispy squid and pork belly starter which was delicious, my wife had the chickpea and avocado bon bons which were surprisingly spicy and something very different. I had a bit of order envy when the Venison got plated up on the other-side of the table, cooked perfectly with a rich berry jus, steamed vegetables and a mini venison Wellington to boot. I was far from disappointed with my pan seared halibut with linguine vegetables and olive mash which was not so subtle on the olives but went well with the dish. Good wine selection, the waiter knew his stuff, very attentive. We were stuffed so we skipped dessert but they overhead it was wife's birthday and out came a lemon sorbet with lemon posset and baby lemon meringues. Great restaurant, not pretentious at all, no frills fine dinning.
The service was excellent, so was most of the food. But both my wife and I thought our mains - lamb and duck respectively - were a touch overcooked. But otherwise, a very enjoyable experience.
Very good food, excellent service, some unusual combinations of ingredients to an interesting effect. We felt very welcome, the staff was hospitable and knowledgeable about the dishes and provenance of ingredients.
Wonderful experience - a hidden gem in SW London. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. We really look forward to returning again very soon!
