Great food however waited almost an hour and half for our mains..
Excellent food and service and very handy for pre theatre dinner. Had the meat moussaka which was delicious and the home made baked custard filo dessert was well worth the 20 minute wait. Have no problem waiting for food to be cooked, at least you know it is fresh (can't stand shop bought desserts). Will definitely return.
We booked3 weeks in advance to turn up and they said would we like to go upstairs we said yes no problem , not knowing there was a huge birthday party on! Sat us in yhe corner under the speaker ( so loud ) 4 people on the table next to us asked loads of time for the music to go down which they did one waiter kept saying sorry to us .. food lovely didn't have deserts just wanted to get out! Overall not a great night
Food and staff wonderful. Was a bit of a wait in between courses but the restaurant was busy.
Lovely Friday night meal with friends. Restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent without being intrusive. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would certainly recommend Syrtaki.

A great local restaurant. Food was delicious and very fresh. The kitchen is open, so you can see the food being cooked. Quite spacious and the seats are comfortable. A little noisy, until you get used to it. Will definitely go again.
First visit after excellent recommendation from two different sources. Very glad we did as it was a very good meal, attentive and efficient service and a warm welcome. Even a free dessert! The menu is varied with a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian options and it is reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.
Fantastic Greek food with some of them to be very original and traditional . Reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Personally I think it’s one of the best in Southend.
Excellent food and service, we chose the mezee super starters various Greek dips with pitta followed hot starters meatballs, Greek sausage second course, fish dish and finally mixed kebabs. Excellent value. Stavos was a great host. Will be back very soon
