Ta’am is the kind of restaurant that exudes warmth the moment you step inside its Bury New Road premises up in Prestwich, with a deli counter overflowing with Persian, Israeli, Turkish and other Middle Eastern delicacies. You can start with a smorgasbord of Persian rice and Israeli salad, move to the Indian subcontinent with the sweet Peshwari laffa, or hit up a generously stacked burger in a classic American style of the house’s speciality: double or triple layers of soya cheese, strips of smoked meat, fried egg, onion rings, salad and pickles. Further into the menu, Ta’am goes truly international, with a pan-Asian selection covering Thai, Japanese, and South Asian food. A boon for residents in this part of Manchester, Ta’am deserves a reservation.
Excellent meal and service. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious. Ambience great. Try any version of the lamb dishes. Creme brûlée was one of the best I have tasted
We had a lovely evening. Pleasant decor and atmosphere. Didn't like the heating by air conditioning and the drafts of hot and cold air were uncomfortable. Good varied menu. Food was delicious, hot and well served. Strongly recommended
Four of us ate there. All the food was excellent - various starters and main courses - but the service was poor and affected our enjoyment of the evening.
