Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
The longest established Indian restaurant in Putney, Taj Mahal is a favourite amongst the area's spice lovers. While the restaurant has been around for quite a while, Taj Mahal’s decor is stylish and contemporary, and the menu features time-tested favourites as well as some modern Indian dishes. We recommend starting off with some succulent tandoori chicken or lamb chops before moving on to a velvety korma, a fiery jalfrezi or a tantalising til dil. Vegetarians will find plenty of choices too, from the aubergine bhaji for starters to samba daal and aloo gobi (roasted potatoes and cauliflower cooked in a Punjabi style with tomatoes, onion and ginger). Located on Upper Road, Taj Mahal is the place to go for authentic Indian cuisine in London’s Putney area. Book a table now!
This is my favourite Indian. The service is brilliant and the food is amazing. Everything is reasonably priced and bottles of wine are not at all marked up (most expensive bottle is £15)!
