Tamping is a vital part of the coffee-making process – the bit where one lightly presses the coffee grounds before entering it into the hopper to force the water though, if you’re taking notes – that often goes overlooked. Pack it too light and your coffee is watery, too hard and the brew will be too bitter. Tamp Tapas have the pat down pat, and they accompany it with a range of Latin favourites, like hand-carved Spanish hams and Argentinian empanadas to savour. Take a trip to London’s Wild West in Chiswick – tube station is Turnham Green on the District or Piccadilly line – and then wander down to Devonshire Road for one of the finest brew and bites combinations to be found in the capital. Do reserve your table ahead of time though, as they have been known to get quite crowded on occasion.
A mellow, laid back environment so do not expect efficient fast restaurant style service. Great little window seat for two, right of door as you come in. Wine choice perfectly good enough but nothing too fancy. All important food! Loved the Tapas, delicious stuff and felt like quality ingredients used. A decent choice. A pleasant and successful alternative to the more conventional restaurant surroundings
Cannot fault the food, everything we ordered tasted amazing and we werevery impressed. It was very quiet for a Saturday evening but I imagine the place being much busier during the day. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly, I'd definitely go back.
We had a lovely evening with great food, and a fantastic glass of wine. Very friendly and helpful staff. Warm friendly and informal atmosphere. Good background music, and quiet enough that I could hear everything my companion said, unlike most cafes and restaurants on the High Road. Would recommend.
All of the dishes we ordered were at least very good and at most exceptional - quality tapas at reasonable prices. The service was warm and welcoming too.
We enjoyed some lovely tapas , and great wine . Staff are very friendly and there was a very good atmosphere in the restaurant .
