Fitzrovia is one of the most exclusive districts of London, with a tradition of affluent properties, bohemian hangouts and lively pubs. In 2016 it was named as the best place in the capital to live, and no small part of that is the diversity of restaurants available to residents, and Trattoria Monte Bianco on Cleveland Street is proud to take its place at the centre of it. The menu features plenty of Italian classics. House specialities include tagliatelle with duck and white wine sauce, tortellini stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach and homemade bucatoni with Guanciale ham. There are a few iconic Italian trattoria dishes – veal alla Milanese, lamb with polenta and braised beef cheek – and a full wine list to accompany your meal, as well as a range of grappa and strega liqueur to finish it all off. Book a table now for a refined and sophisticated meal at Trattoria Monte Bianco in the heart of flash Fitzrovia.
New owners and a fresh new look to the restaurant. We had a simple lunch but it was superb and clear that only fresh ingredients were on the menu. I have some lovely light hand made ravioli filled with Osso bucco in a lemon & basil sauce m my colleague had a steaming pot of fresh mussels in a chilli & herb broth. The bread also seamed to be home made and was a great compliment to the food. Service was attentive but not in your face so a great place for business lunches. The only slight negative for me was our table was right next to the radiator which was burning my legs so watch which table you pick.
Absolutely fantastic! Wonderful staff and amazing food. We used a Taste Card which made it outstandingly cheap, but it would have been excellent value for money even without the card. We will be back!
Lovely evening. Polite staff. Perfect pasta. Of the 5 occupied tables, we were the only non-Italians!. Used to be my local until they closed for refurbishment: they are even better than they were!
