The Tate Modern Restaurant in Southwark offers a cool and contemporary space where you can enjoy the very best British cuisine, with some international influences. Any self respecting Londoner will probably already be well acquainted with the Tate, but they mightn’t be aware that there is an amazing eatery at the top of the stunning building which formerly housed Battersea Power Station. What’s more, you get to take in skyline views of Bankside, the Thames and all of London as you dine in style. Check out all the art, then relax with a cocktail and some brilliant British cooking – just ensure you arrive with a reservation to avoid disappointment. Prepare for a feast to remember!
Excellent venue. Superb food and wine. Brilliant service. Would highly recommend. Had the Pierre Bonnard menu of Fish bowl with smoked trout and the most delicious confit duck I have ever tasted. I’m definitely coming back for more.
Always a pleasure and delicious lunch or supper. We keep coming back. Thanks!
I arrived at 8.30pm and was seated promptly at my table. You could have either a two course menu for £29 or a three course menu for £35. I chose the two course menu. For my main course I had venison with red cabbage purée and two sides of seasonal vegetables and thick cut chips. I ordered a glass of white wine which came highly recommended by the waiter. The venison was really tender and just melted in my mouth as did the mange tout and chips. For pudding I ordered a white chocolate mousse with dark chocolate and passion fruit and I was immediately transported to heaven. I tried very hard not to groan with delight because the mousse was completely orgasmic. I will definitely be going to this place again.
