Thai Brasserie’s second branch at the Meridian Bypass along Birmingham Road offers the same fine Thai cuisine as its sister restaurant in Sutton Coldfield. From the mixed starter platter through to the house specials like the Talay Thai seafood with noodles, the food here is authentically and uncompromisingly Thai. The same set menus are on offer for those who’d prefer to eat delicious Thai cuisine rather than bother with such superfluities as decision-making. The staff at Thai Brasserie can always help here, too, of course – they know their Thai cuisine.

There are two restaurant branches where you can enjoy Thai Brasserie’s signature selection of quality Thai cuisine. Sutton Coldfield, just outside of Birmingham, is home to one Thai Brasserie. Here, at Thai Brasserie’s Meridian Bypass premises, along Birmingham Road, you can expect the same warm welcome, helpful service, and nothing but the best, most authentic Thai cuisine this side of the spaghetti junction. Miserable weather? Demand a bowl of warming Thai soup: classic tom yum, the coconut-based tom kha kai with chicken, or the special Thai fisherman soup – a hot and sour seafood soup (with thankfully not a trace of fisherman).

Moving to the mains, Birmingham’s Thai fans will be pleased to know that Thai Brasserie at the Meridian Bypass along Birmingham Road has a fine selection of dishes unique to the restaurant. Marinated chicken wrapped in pandan leaves is a handsome starter, or go light with lab gai, a healthy chicken and Thai-herbed vegetable salad. Of course, being a Thai restaurant, lemongrass is welcome everywhere – Thai Brasserie’s chicken with lemongrass, or gai yang benjarong, is a mouth-watering dish not to be missed.
