Always a lovely welcoming atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. The food is superb and very reasonably priced. Nice choice of specials. Seems to be a popular place every day of the week. I will be back
Polite staff and awesome food.. Really nice pub . I would highly recommend. We had a Sunday roast that came out quickly and was one of the best we have had in Bristol. Will go again.
Excellent service, food was good, Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Good range of real ales and a good night had. Only downside was an extremely loud group of people which marred the evening - couldn't hear our own conversation.
Food was really good, my friend said she could not remember the last time she had had such a good steak. Atmosphere friendly and relaxed, the waitress was lovely. In all a very pleasant experience.
Excellent Sunday lunch, we had beef, lamb and pork. Beef was medium rare which was superb. The land lady let us eat early. Super experience. Recommended for rugby or football people going to Ashton gate
Perfect food. Perfect service. Will Defoe be returning. This is a little hidden gem. Trouble is if it gets too busy won't be able to get a table so.....will have to make a permanent reservation.
The food was great but service not so hot. Took a long time for food to arrive, one order was wrong, had to ask twice for condiments and had to go and ask for desert menu. Overcharged on the bill then on rectifying the bill still overcharged. Food really was lovely though.
Not the first time and definitely not the last.Excellent service . Had Sunday lunch here and red Cabbage which I hate was great. A regular for great food before every Bristol home gain. Great food ,great staff and complete satisfaction.
I think I must have read the website wrongly as I was expecting to be offered either steak or vegetarian and we clearly had a lunch-time menu. However, it was very nice, particularly the salad and the service was good.
Most enjoyable meal and attentive staff. To improve a little somewhere to hang cats would be good and a wider selection of wine would be appreciated by myself, however, none of this detracts from my recommendation as a good restaurant.
The restaurant was clean and inviting, we both had the steaks and they were cook to perfection. So good beer and food shame the Rugby wasn't upto the same standard, will be back.
The staff are so lovely and welcoming and the food here is amazing!! We will definitely eat here again. We tried the roast dinner here for the first time and it was incredible.
Lovely food, friendly service. Perfect! It was easy to find and we were able to park right outside which was a bonus. I will definitely go again and recommend it to my friends.
Excellent meal for 2, food was good. Great choice of Beers & Lagers, also great service. Can't fault the evening. The place was excellently decorated, clean and we would definitely go back soon.
We tried the Ashville today for the first time, and I wasn't disappointed. The service was very good, and the roast dinner was amazing! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.
Great looking pub/restaurant. Good friendly feel to the place. Atmosphere good. Food and service excellent. Will definitely be returning. Large size meals available. Not Sure I could beat the 72 oz challenge.
Great food and a lovely atmosphere. Menu was varied and the Piano playing in the background added to the ambiance. Would recommend the Ashville and look forward to going there again.
Excellent service, excellent food highly recommend. Food was excellent completely relaxed atmosphere would definately be going back. Desserts were excellent as well and the triple cooked chips were the best ever
Great service, the staff are lovely, very efficient, with nothing appearing to be to much trouble. Food is excellent, fresh quality ingredients, thoroughly enjoyable, can't wait to dine there again!
The starters were great I had whitebait & my partner had deep fried Brie. We both had steak which was cooked to perfection & the triple cooked chips were amazing. We'll definitely be going again.
