This is where the Bank gets its name, and the surrounding regions are where the Bank gets its phenomenal 21-day-aged steaks, with prime beef provided by farmers across Durham, Cumbria and Northumberland. Where the rest of the inspiration comes from for this amazing menu is a mystery - occasionally it’s from pub tradition, like a slow-braised steak and ale pie; sometimes it’s from international flavours, like Asian-infused tian of quinoa; and often it could be something plucked from the imagination - try the watermelon and chilli iced parfait and you will be thankful for human ingenuity.
