Nice welcome Great service and good food including a Lovely and plentiful pudding. It was a bit noisy (we did notice there’s no noise deadening materials (carpets / curtains / plants) Nice open fire in ‘middle’ bar.

Food was decent, staff were welcoming. Though quite cramped. But saying that, like many others having lunch -we had a pushchair and childrens highchair. So, in no way the vendors fault. Would go back, but perhaps not on a busy Sunday afternoon. Worth a visit!

The food was wonderful as ever but I'm afraid the service on this occasion was not. The barman/waiter was rude about my choice of starter, saying it wasn't very healthy! We waited 40 minutes for our main course. We are regular visitors to the Bell and I Have to say after Saturday we may well be trying the jolly Cooper round the corner.

Refused meerkat meals deal as advertised on the app. And we’re really rude about it and I was made to feel very uncomfortable so we left.

The Sunday lunch menu has changed in recent months and a chicken option is not available. However, the food is generally v. good - though cabbage needs destalking if it is going to be that tough!

Average food and service, pretty decent roast though. Not much atmosphere in the front area of the pub. Overall expensive for a two course Sunday roast.

Great main courses but service not the best. 1/3 children’s food came out with the adults’ food. The other 2 children’s meals took an age and needed to be asked for. These meals were refunded. Kids’ desserts pretty disappointing too.

Quick prompt service, food was satisfactory but not exceptional. The roasts were fine but the lamb tagine was full of chilli ,not what you expect in a Moroccan dish! The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Good food and a nice setting but the bar staff were seriously under pressure when we arrived early last Friday evening. This pub has a large car park and an outside terrace at the back. The front has nice views onto the river.

The Bell was clean and friendly. It was very busy on Mothers day but the staff coped very well. The food was excellent if just a little too much for some of us. I had the roast beef lunch - it was delicious. The beef was perfect for my taste ; pink and quite tender. The Yorkshire pudding was excellent - not a easy thing to cook en masse! We'll come again.

Good Sunday lunch, nice table, and good service despite being very busy on Mother’s Day. Decent Yorkshire puddings, but Eaton mess could do with more fruit and meringue.
