The Black Horse Monks Horton, located right in the centre of this picturesque village, is a picture-perfect British pub with a beer garden, open fireplaces and excellent European grub. Perched right along Fiddling Lane, The Black Horse Monks Horton is as popular with locals as it is with visitors who pass through the area as they tour the Garden of England. Ideal for all the family, The Black Horse even has an enclosed children’s play area where the kids can have a bit of fun while you relax with some plates of food and a pint – plus, kids of all ages will love the bar billiards table. With exposed beams and brick floors, the rustic countryside feel will keep you coming back time and time again to this spot. Advance booking is recommended, particularly for their incredible Sunday carvery!
Very welcoming and lovely atmosphere. Wonderful food with a good choice and not rushed. Good beer selection and food with an Italian accent . Very easy parking and although the restaurant is spacious it has a friendly local pub atmosphere. if the weather is good there is plenty of outside seating as well . My favourite place.
A lovely family-run pub and restaurant, with a vibrant, family atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and time is taken to make you feel welcomed and valued. Very pleasant interior, first class food. All round: molto, molto, molto bene!
The carvery was lovely. Beef was cooked to perfection. Large choice of meat and roast potatoes were good. The veg was interesting but not varied enough in colour- all very yellow. Reasonably priced too. Very attentive staff.
