This opulent Chinese restaurant is located within the The Star Casino and overlooks the spectacular Darling Harbour, complete with 15 double-glazed aquariums, a feature wall handmade from thousands of chopsticks and an interior design paying homage to traditional Chinese culture with a signature modern twist. This Pyrmont restaurant specialises in authentic Cantonese cuisine and seafood, though also offers an array of favourites from Peking duck to black pepper wagyu beef. Dining at The Century in Sydney is an experience you won’t forget, so reserve a table to discover what the fuss is all about.
As we said, The Century, Sydney knows a thing or two about seafood, serving delicious, fresh and flavoursome dishes from the sea. And with an interior as beautiful as this grand restaurant, we can’t think of anywhere better to feast on Cantonese delicacies with friends, colleagues or family. What should you expect from The Century? Well, from the a la carte evening menu, keep an eye out for starters such as san choy bow, Sydney Rock oysters and salmon sashimi.
Then, for the main affair, we highly recommend The Century’s famous braised lobster with ginger and shallots, the Szechuan-style mud crab and the salt and pepper squid. If you’re not a seafood lover, however, this Pyrmont restaurant has you more than covered with deep-fried duck in plum sauce, sweet and sour pork and, of course, Peking duck. Essentially, no matter what you opt for at The Century, this Sydney Chinese favourite will satisfy those taste buds in more ways than one. Located at The Star on Pyrmont Street in, well, Pyrmont, reservations are essential to avoid disappointment.
Food was great, service was great, however a little rushed, felt like they were rushing us to get the next sitting on our table! Would go back for the food, and order entree first and say we will order main when we get the entree.

Delicious seafood! Made with expert precision! Simply the best Chinese seafood restaurant in Australia. Service is top class. Very respectful waiters and managers. If you take into account the live seafood being prepared with the best ingredients and with the best skills it’s not too expensive. After I eat here I don’t want to eat live seafood elsewhere.
