Excellent!! Mother's Day with my Wife & Boys, Great Food and Great service, a credit to all the staff as it was really busy, Thank you Andy F & Family
Perfect service received and perfect food and atmosphere as always! Often go for celebrations worth the travel would recommend to all family and friends. Will be there again soon!
We all had an excellent food offering and were well looked after by the staff. Our dogs were accommodated without fuss which made the overall experience much more pleasurable.
Love the ambiance & food but rather surprised they couldn't offer us decaffeinated coffee. Sticky toffee pudding a particular favourite. On main course not so keen on purple potatoes
Great pub with good food and friendly service. Menu had several vegetarian options which was great and the drinks options were huge. Would highly recommend this place and will be certain to go back.
Good menu and good wine list . We had an excellent lunch. The steak and the fish and chips were both very good. The service and environment were also good. Would definitely go back.
Had a party of 6 from various countries in Europe on a Monday night works dinner and the service and food were excellent. Well done to the team!
Country Inn with excellent food and service, would highly recommend, good choice of food nothing too much trouble if required, excellent value for money, you wouldn't be disappointed.
Wonderful evening, all of the staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was lovely. Did not feel rushed at any point - really relaxed time. Will definitely return
The pub is in such a lovely location location, great staff, great good and a pretty eclectic drink selection to match! - I couldn't recommend this place higher
Excellent service and venue. The staff were very attentive throughout our meal. We would recommend this place to friends and family and we will be back soon
Great food and fantastic staff. The perfect place to go for a Sunday lunch. Good offers and great portion sizes. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
Excellent setting service & food. A warm welcome received. Extensive choice on the menu yet all freshly cooked and local produce. Looking forward to my next visit.
Food and service excellent as always. The Chequers has been a favourite for many years and Jo and her team deserve great credit for maintaining high standards.
After reading some negative comments on TripAdvisor, I was a little worried but all was well - plenty of friendly helpful staff. Food great. Great day out.
Poor service, people were not greeted with a smile, staff looked really unhappy, we sat at our table for half a hour not one person came to see if we needed drinks or ready to order, even though we was not given menus, we had to get our own menus. Food was not up to much, our steaks were very fatty and food was very greasy. I was very disappointed was expecting more after the great reviews and recommendations.
This was my first time to chequers in a long time and I was very impressed. We had Great food, well timed service and lovely setting.
Yet another very pleasant meal at The Chequers. It is becoming our pub of choice, consistently high standard of food and service, welcoming and reasonably priced.
Excellent as ever. Great pub, lovely staff, superb food. Very attentive and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and a great way to end the year
Food and service were both extremely good even though it was busy. Bar and waiting staff were really helpful and friendly. I would recommend. THE Chequers
