WE thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the service was a little slow, but that was fine we understood there was a birthday party of some 40 people there. We will certainly be going back.

We had a reservation as I had seen on line a delicious selection of sea food. We were given a lunch time menu which hardly any sea food on offer. So we left! We went to Deal from London on a day trip, so we’re were disappointed. However we found an alternative sea food restaurant.

Not an Oyster Bar anymore, but the restaurant and food was lovely. I did get some oysters, only one type on offer. They were the biggest oysters I have ever had @ £2 each.

Poor. It took 15 minutes for someone to bring menus and take a drinks order. The starters were fine but the main courses were awful. I am sue my paella came put of a frozen packet and hado a horrible gravy consistency. Very mushy. My daughters steak was tough and overcookeducation. She ordered rare and it was well done. Sincerely doubt it was sirloin at all. We didn' bother with puds and left as soon as possible.

The service and food was all excellent apart from the deserts: taking ober 30 mins to come out and the cremebrulee which was sadly not set but after I mentioned this to the waiter he sorted it with shots. I've been here quite a few times and each time the atmosphere and service has been amazing!

I had intended to book dinner for my husband and I on Saturday 28 July. We turned up at the Courtyard only to find there was a private function. The manager Tony apologised and even offered us a drink. When checking the email from you I realised the booking was for the 27th ! My fault for not checking 😧. We'll try again!

Rubbish expensive menu that looks like its never updated. Presents itself as a seafood restaurant and there's very little seafood on the menu. Fish and chips is £17 - rediculous.

Lovely atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Great food, the black pudding scotch eggs are a winner. A lovely place to eat. Keep up the good work. Would definitely eat here again.

The food was lovely, service was ok but there was a party of 10 Americans that spoilt the experience as some of them were very loud.

We had a really fantastic meal here with great staff and a good atmosphere. The roof was back as it was a hot summer night. Some drink may have been taken 😊

dreadful, service was appalling. waited 35 minutes just to get a menu. disorganised as chef and waitresses moving tables and clearing up (this 20 minutes after our expected table time!) sullen staff, booked as a birthday treat..we paid for our drinks and left....won't be back.

It was our first visit to the Courtyard and as we arrived for Sunday lunch my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the decor and style of the main eating area, which was enhanced by a glass atrium that was drawn back in the centre allowing the sun to stream in and maintain a nice temperature and not feel you were sitting in a greenhouse. There was a set price menu for the Sunday with a reasonable selection of starters whilst the mains were mainly a variety of roast dinners, roast potatoes plus veg. The beers/lagers we drank were well kept and chilled. Prices were reasonable with two courses at £17.99 and three courses at £21.99. My only gripe was the feeling we were ignored once we were at our table and the main course took a while to appear ..... but having said that, the starters and mains that we had were excellent - a good example of what I would expect from a Sunday roast in a restaurant - hot, quality meat, tasty vegtables served with a quality gravy.... and good portions. We will definitely be returning and are looking forward to returning on an evening to try the main menu and perhaps sample at least some of the wine list....and a beer or two...

Lots of dishes were off the menu. The curry wasn’t spicy. Quite busy and good atmosphere. Think our waitress was still learning. Shame, normally better cooking than this.

Very disappointed with Sunday Lunch. Prawn cocktail starter had no taste, Chicken was chewy and the Pork Belly was more like a pork chop with no crackling.Yorkshire pudding was flat and under cooked, doughy in the middle. Cheese board had no Stilton and mushy grapes. Had to pay extra for the vegetables to go with the Sunday Lunch. Service was slow as they had some large parties in and struggled to cope.
