We really enjoyed our time at Fab bar. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was well presented and tasted good. It would have been even better if an authentic Caribbean dessert was on offer.
Fab Resturant and Bar located in convenient location in Herne Hill is a relatively new and interesting place. Friendly atomsphere and good (but a bit little spicy) foods - worth a try
Dessert was a bit small but otherwise tasty food and great service! Wowcher deal is really good value for money but I would go back otherwise.
Lovely staff - average food: cheap bought in frozen pudding large glass of wine £5 odd shop front premises set up for a club atmosphere rather than a restaurant advised they have party nights on Friday and Saturday with disco - probably more appropriate for this with starters as 'tapas' snacks but ring to check first that these are 'on'
The food was was good not great, it was hot and arrived swiftly. The waitress was very smiley and professional. However there was music on which was good but then also the football was on 2 TVs with the volume up. But the worst thing is you have to pay for your drinks separately. You actually have to leave your table as there is no drinks menu and go up to the bar to get your drinks and there is no price list, we were quoted £5 for a non alcoholic fruit punch.
Lovely atmosphere, polite staff. down side only one waiter who i must add worked very well under the pressure of working on his own. drinks were amazing but the food let the experience down. we had a long wait for food, think we were forgotten about a few times. we didn't get exact food we ordered as well as waiting ages to them be told the desert we ordered had run out but got a cocktail to compensate. I left feeling a little hungry
very good, polite service. The starters were nice, the main dish I had which was the curry goat could have had more flavouring, a bit too mild for me. Only one desert was on offer and I like a bit more choice but overall a very lovely place and great atmosphere.
I had prawns and plantain for the starter. I only got 4 small prawns and a few slices of plantain. We chose the fish dish for our main course. The food was cold on arrival and didn't have much taste. My friend chose the lemon mouse for desert. It didn't taste like there was any lemon in it. Overall it wasn't a great experience. The amount of food on the plate was minimal. We would not recommend it or go there again. The waiter however was attentive, informative and really made a good effect to please. He was also very polite.
Excellent starters - chicken and prawn options were nice. The mains were not so good. The jerk chicken dish was ok/fine. The fish was off - not seasoned properly and inedible and was sent back. However, curry goat offered and enjoyed. The dessert was not good at all. Not sure what it was. Very weird. the person serving us was attentive and worked hard to assist all customers. They need to work on their menu and make it more appealing so their reviews will get better.
Got a good deal with wowcher, wouldn't pay full price for the set menu we got. The food portions were good (however the prawns aren't king size). Good taste and friendly staff.
