Lovely coffee. Excellent hash and eggs. Quirky surroundings although a little chilly. I can imagine will be lovely in the summer. Would definitely return again.

A nice meal, despite issues with the starter. The service was good and problems were rectified quickly. Family friendly room was a great help with two little ones. Would go again for breakfast or brunch as found this time of day better than lunch/dinner. Overall worth a visit.

Nice, rustic place. Food good, well cooked and tasty. Service was very slow with only younger staff, who spent a lot of time chatting and not serving.

Please tell enough setting. Food reasonable and a reasonable price. Service a little a slow maybe but very friendly.Main reason not rated higher ,the tables are very close together, which means conversations are very easily overheard which is somewhat intrusive.

Waited hour and half for starters - they did explain after an hour that a fryer had broken, then they bought us a round of drinks, for the Waite and discounted the starters. They arrived 1 hour 40 minutes after we ordered. It was hard as we had two children with us. The mains arrived later and my dinner was cold but I couldn’t be bothered to send back. They most probably had trouble in the kitchen and these things happen, the head waitress tried her best, and tried to implement her training but the rest of the staff didn’t seem to have a clue. I hope they get it together for Xmas as it could be a goldmine for the owners if run a bit better. It’s a good concept and works apart from something I have moaned about t before when I visited - it’s really quite uncomfortable because of the cold - even the waitresses had cardigans on - have they no heating? Let’s hope if they have a good Xmas they invest in a bit of heating.

A good first experience encouraged by 50% off food & live music! The venue is rustic & was a tad draughty on a very cold evening, but the warmth of the welcome & the staff made up for it. The food is freshly prepared & arrived in good time. We had the whitebait & mushrooms which were both delicious. For mains I had roasted butternut squash which was a most unusual combination & very tasty with the house red Merlot. My husband had the spicy chicken. It came as a leg which he wasn’t expecting & didn’t enjoy. This was unexpectedly taken off the bill. Overall the service & food are recommended & we will be back during the day or on a warmer evening!

Food was lovely. Noticed that the menu has been reduced as pancakes are no longer on the menu. The servings are generous and of a good quality. Will go again.
