About The Grape Escape - Cheltenham

The British love a drink – and while they might be more associated with being a beer-drinking nation, that isn’t to say that they don’t love a fine wine as well. The wine bar became a big thing in the 1980s, and they have become a firm favourite since then – few more so than The Grape Escape in Cheltenham, where they offer up a huge range of vino from around the world from their location on Bath Road in the town centre. Their food menu is geared towards bar specialities such as charcuterie, cheese and seafood: from British favourites like pork pies, Hereford Hop and Bath Blue and smoked salmon to international delicacies such as Ardennes pate, parmesan with balsamic and marinated anchovies. Book a table now and take a trip to Cheltenham town centre for one of the most sophisticated and classy evenings out in the South West.

As ever a great evening at The Grape Escape. Lovely wine, professional and super informed proprietor and staff and a chilled atmosphere. Enjoyed our wine flight and the snack menu. Will visit again soon.

Had a lovely evening at The Grape Escape great atmosphere, friendly personable service great choice of wines and speciality beers. the cheese platter was excellent supposed to be serving two but was more than enough for four people and a bread basket.

Fab service, fun wine 'flight' tasting and guessing and a lovely wine selection! Myself and two girl friends exposed our lack of wine knowledge and were expertly guided through the wines we had tasted by a member of staff. A really great experience.

Great visit to the Grape Escape - tried their flight of red wines and discovered a fine Lebanese bottle - Massaya Le Colombiere. Had a couple more glasses with their cheese board. Will be back there soon!

Very friendly staff and they talked us through the wines. Wines were amazing as was the cheese board and nibbles. Would definitely visit again if in the area. A must do if in Cheltenham!

Fun, friendly and relaxed. Great service and a good selection of great wines - lots by the glass. If I lived any closer this would be my local.
