Cold veggies and stone cold stuffing on our roast dinner. When I mentioned this I was given a bowl of veg. What was I meant to do with the cold ones on my plate? Eat round them and lick off the gravy? Left it and no charge. Such a shame though as had been looking forward to a Sunday roast. Clearly just caters for the masses of tourists rather than the quality of food.

Once again visiting this pub, we were greeted and served by very friendly staff and welcoming our big dogs too. Food was served in very generous portion's and delicious chocolate orange tart dessert. Will definitely return again soon. Thankyou to all your staff most enjoyable!

Lovely pub and garden with views of the castle . But the wasps seem to love this area .

A bit pricey, but good food. The courses came too quickly, no rest between courses. tried to bring mains before we had finished starter, felt rushed.

Great decor. No Sunday Roast left so was offered an alternative, which was nice. Friendly staff but finer points are missed. Wine wasn’t poured, water wasn’t offered for the table, and we requested a desert menu but no one actually came and took a desert order before seeing if we wanted the bill. All mouth and no trousers I think is the saying!

Great location, lovely pub with a view. Visited for lunch for a special birthday, loads of choices on the menu so everyone found something they liked. Nice seats under the marquee, good service and friendly staff.

First time eating inside (great british weather!). We arrived an hour early but were kindly seated anyway and brought menus. Drinks and food were brought promptly, we were attended regularly, staff were great & both polite and efficient. Lovely food, relaxed & homely atmosphere. Great!

Best roast dinner I have ever had in a restaurant

Not quite what expected although we were sat in the Garden. Our choice! hindsight would have sat inside. Unfortunate incident outside with some younger people meant the end of the meal was rather unpleasant (not due to the establishment). The person concerned was okay though thank goodness. Altogether, "alright"

We had several evening meals there last week, and found the food and service excellent. A good menu with good gluten free options. A lovely old pub below the castle in Corfe, we would recommend it to all friends and family. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Visit was on a very busy day, waiting staff were friendly and efficient, food could of been better, roast meat felt like it was reheated and not freshly carved, which I would expect for the price but it was busy and the experience was smooth and an enjoyable, the kids enjoyed their meals which is rare so can’t too bad 😂

The Sunday roast was quite disappointing - the lamb was not traditional roast lamb, but slow cooked and it was piled high on the plate with huge amounts of fat which was off putting.

Superb Sunday roast, great selection and lots of excellent veg. It was a late lunch so was'nt expecting it to be as fresh as the start of service, but it could'nt of been better. Great stuff

Such a friendly greeting when we arrived, we were shown to our table, we received very polite and efficient table service throughout. Our roasts were superb. I had lamb which was delicious, my husband had the chicken roast which he equally enjoyed every bite of! It was the tastiest roast we have had for a long while with everything cooked to perfection. There was a service charge but our server told us very politely that this was completely optional but as it was more than deserved and because she explained that so nicely we were more than happy for it to be added to our bill. We would highly recommend and we will visit again. Very happy customers!

Fantastic Landlord who couldn’t be more helpful & the food was amazing, can’t wait to go back !!
