The Grill on the Market London is a restaurant within the Blackhouse family that serves exceptional steaks and makes a great spot for a few drinks. Located on Smithfield Market in Farringdon, a spot you’ll often hear referred to as the spiritual home of meat, The Grill on the Market has been feeding the hungry folk of East London since 2011. The restaurant itself is rustic and chic in equal measure and the menu is brimming with quality, from the Cumbrae oysters right through to the premium Australian Aberdeen steak. As we said, the interior of The Grill on the Market London is rustic and chic in equal measure with lots of leather and exposed metal and wood. It’s a comfortable and atmospheric place to sit, whether your group is little or large and whether you’re dining or just drinking. There’s a big bar serving quality drinks and cocktails, then there’s a main food menu, one for the kids and some impressive set menus that begin at £28 and go up to £40. However much you feel like spending, The Grill on the Market London will have something for you.

Some of our favourite dishes from the main menu here in Farringdon include the English sirloin steak, served as 227g or 340g cut, as well as the ridiculously tender Irish fillet. There are plenty of other cuts available, of course, and rest assured that all are minimum 28-day wet & dry aged and left to breathe for at least 24 hours before cooking. Less steaky mains include lamb rump, halloumi & vegetable kebab, fajitas and a very creamy chicken supreme. There are few places better to dine in Farringdon than The Grill on the Market, just be sure to arrive armed with a reservation.
