The Grill Room Hove is one of our favourite dining spots in town. As part of Third Avenue on Church Road, it’s an elegant space yet it remains comfortable and intimate. Decor and atmosphere aside, likely the main draw to The Grill Room Hove is beef courtesy of the Queen’s butcher, Aubrey Allen. The meat is matured for 28 days in a Himalayan salt room to make it ridiculously tender, then it’s cooked on a Josper Grill, considered to be the finest in the industry. If all that doesn’t put The Grill Room in with a serious to shout to be the restaurant behind the best steak in Hove then, frankly, we don’t know what will. The Grill Room Hove is open for brunch, lunch and dinner and the food at any time of day is exquisite. For brunch you can expect everything from a traditional full English to buttermilk pancakes and range of speciality eggs. For something a bit different, why not try the shakshuka or the Spanish tortilla and morcilla? Later in the day for lunch you could begin with quail scotch eggs before moving onto a classic fish pie, garden pea risotto, a suckling pig belly burger or, of course, one of The Grill Room’s prime steaks, perhaps with a peppercorn sauce or bone marrow butter? As you can see, this is some of finest dining in the centre of Hove and that’s before the clock has even turned to the evening.
When you arrive at The Grill Room Hove in the evening the chances are you’ll be able to smell the quality of the steak straight off.
