Very friendly staff , excellent food and good value for money

Large Greek salad as a main was mainly whole (uncut) lettuce leaves with very little, poor quality Feta Cheese, a few cherry tomatoes (rather than larger tomatoes cut up, that you would expect) cucumber onion and olives. No olive oil or herbs. Very poor value. How small would the small Greek salad be? Vegetables with the "handmade" pie were just a few frozen peas, very unimaginative. Quality OK though. Probably would not visit again, this was our second visit the first, (very poor) was just after reopening. Shame as this used to be good.

Best Sunday roast and really friendly staff too. Would recommend

Haven’t been for a while but great food ... great surroundings and lovely atmosphere. But the best for us was the amazing staff. New Zealand young lady and charming tall young man served. They were amazing. So friendly and so helpful.

Beautifully decorated, food was terrible and the price for fish and chips disgusting. Second time I have been to the Holly Bush since it has been decorated and both occasions food really bad. Sorry I'll not be recommending this place.

I was a little disappointed, the renovation is lovely but it seems to have lost the soul and instead of a small cosy pub feels more like a chain pub. The food was ok but was pricey at £13.95, I had the fish cakes which perhaps should be called potato cakes and the cream sauce underneath was about a tablespoon full only, would have liked a little more as was quite dry. My husband had the fish & chips and wasn’t keen on the triple cooked chips and felt the batter on the fish although nice was excessive and it had bones in it. Such a shame as had high hopes for them but won’t be returning anytime soon, sorry.

Tasty food, lovely atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed selection on menu., ie cream brullee.

I was a bit unsure when i sat and read the menu but i ordered pan fried chicken and omg it was amazing something different for me but thoroughly enjoyed and the deserts were lively aswell. Me and my husband and definitely going back soon. The staff were all friendly and knew their jobs well and the restaurant is a lovely atmosphere too.

Eaten here many times now since it was refurbished and will continue to do so. Freshly cooked food, with good flavours, coupled with fair meal costs, make this venue great value for money. Long may it continue!

The New Refurbished Holly Bush is fantastic. Every element of the venue, service and food quality was brilliant. Even going to the toilet was a delightful experience. We will be coming back and not just to use the loo. I only would have scored higher if both my partner and I had enjoyed the steaks more but they just lacked something and were a bit dry and the food looked lost on the big plates. Maybe I was expecting too much from a cut from the royal butcher I dont know. However the burger and the pie enjoyed my other party members looked fantastic and they both remarked how tasty they were. As for the desserts...they did not disappoint at all.

Good visit overall, even if we did have to wait a little while for our food order to be taken. The pub has had a really good refurb and looks modern and fresh. The staff were all very friendly and the food was really worth the wait.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, service a little slow to take order and had to go to bar for extra drinks, but food was amazing when it arrived. Great place would recommend
