About The Indian Manor

Scotland loves a curry, as the legions of packed Indian restaurants in Glasgow and beyond display proudly every Friday night. Even the smallest town can boast a curry house of no little quality, and in Bothwell, they’ve got one that stands a cut above the usual fare. They offer the classics of the genre – all your favourite curries are present on the menu, and the tandoor oven gets more than its fair share of work of an evening – but done in such a way as to elevate them to the next level. That means dishes that take a gourmet twist on Indian restaurant staples such as the okra dopiaza and the tandoori seabass, or regional delicacies that one does not regularly find on the menu. Try their Delhi-style lamb, slow-cooked with peppers and onions, the Hyderabadi biryani, where meat, spices and rice are steamed together or the Goan king prawns and monkfish, cooked with tamarind. Book a table today and take the trip to Old Mill Road in Bothwell on the outskirts of Hamilton for a real treat.

Arrived a touch early, no problem led to our table. Food and ambience was excellent as is mostly the case. I have dined here on many occasions and for me their standards never slip.

Was busy which is always encouraging. Service was good. Food was delicious. The decor and setting were lovely. Prices were reasonable too. Will definitely be back.

Complex yet well balanced flavors. Excellent service. Took the family but equally great venue for dates or business. High recommended. Will be back? No doubt.

Wasn't a great start as we were stuck at the barrier couldn't get in the waiter appeared and then disappeared with the manager (I think) and then they both disappeared after was seemed ages they finally got it to lift and a wee apology would have been nice or even a joke but sadly no so was disappappointed with the start . But as they say things can only get better it's a lovely dining room but lacks atmosphere maybe because we were the only ones in it and it was cold but the food then heated me up chicken pakora was lovely and plentiful and the tandoori mix in my other halfs words was the best he's ever had will put the first visit down as a blip and will be back as it has a great menu looking forward to my return visit .

Absolutely fantastic dining experience !!!! 3 friends and I had the Indian street food menu what a fantastic idea we had 12 'tapas' style dishes between us. It was the tastiest Indian food EVER !!! and the most ideal opportunity to experiment with real Indian food. The waiter was delightful and helped us choose our dishes giving us a little bit of history behind the preparation and cooking of the dishes. Highly recommend a visit.

Food was good, but service a bit erratic. The main dishes for two of our party arrived and we then had a wait of a few minutes before the other two got their dishes plus accompaniments. Dinner for 4 was £160, which is more than I'd expect to pay for Indian food. However, it was definitely not a standard Indian restaurant. I'll definitely go back - but with a view to a more refined evening out with good food, rather than a standard Indian plus beer with a few friends.

Perfect night out. Service was effortless and making meals and cocktails that were not on the menu was a clever touch. Would highly recommend The Indian Manor to anyone.

we had our first meal here on Friday. Food arrived timeously and was freshly prepared. Others commented lighting too bright, but when you have such an interesting menu ou want to see all the items clearly. I therefore chose Tandoori Sea Bass, not something on every menu and it was delicious. Not our last visit!
