About The Indian Manor
Scotland loves a curry, as the legions of packed Indian restaurants in Glasgow and beyond display proudly every Friday night. Even the smallest town can boast a curry house of no little quality, and in Bothwell, they’ve got one that stands a cut above the usual fare. They offer the classics of the genre – all your favourite curries are present on the menu, and the tandoor oven gets more than its fair share of work of an evening – but done in such a way as to elevate them to the next level. That means dishes that take a gourmet twist on Indian restaurant staples such as the okra dopiaza and the tandoori seabass, or regional delicacies that one does not regularly find on the menu. Try their Delhi-style lamb, slow-cooked with peppers and onions, the Hyderabadi biryani, where meat, spices and rice are steamed together or the Goan king prawns and monkfish, cooked with tamarind. Book a table today and take the trip to Old Mill Road in Bothwell on the outskirts of Hamilton for a real treat.

This was our first visit ,I must say it was the best Indian meal we've had , I loved the menu ,lots of different choices , service was great , we most definitely be returning soon
We had a Fantastic meal can recommend the chicken pakora, tikka masala and tikka chasni, the staff were lovely too exceptional service and happy to chat away made you feel really welcome.
Beautiful food. Classy Indian cuisine. We both had lamb, different dishes - no fat on the meat atall, really tender and melt in the mouth. Staff are all really nice and attentive.
Loved it, food was amazing and service even better. Will be back there as soon as possible, had heard mixed reviews about it, but glad to be proven wrong and would highly recommend it.
Wasn't a great start as we were stuck at the barrier couldn't get in the waiter appeared and then disappeared with the manager (I think) and then they both disappeared after was seemed ages they finally got it to lift and a wee apology would have been nice or even a joke but sadly no so was disappappointed with the start . But as they say things can only get better it's a lovely dining room but lacks atmosphere maybe because we were the only ones in it and it was cold but the food then heated me up chicken pakora was lovely and plentiful and the tandoori mix in my other halfs words was the best he's ever had will put the first visit down as a blip and will be back as it has a great menu looking forward to my return visit .
The Indian manor , is a fantastic place to eat with a great menu , we have tried just about every item on the menu and have found them all fantastic , the cook meat on the bone in some dishes which adds to the all over flavour , there is also a good selection of fish on the menu .staff are great and attentive and Bunti the manager is fantastic . Our fav place to eat ...
Absolutely fantastic dining experience !!!! 3 friends and I had the Indian street food menu what a fantastic idea we had 12 'tapas' style dishes between us. It was the tastiest Indian food EVER !!! and the most ideal opportunity to experiment with real Indian food. The waiter was delightful and helped us choose our dishes giving us a little bit of history behind the preparation and cooking of the dishes. Highly recommend a visit.
Food was good, but service a bit erratic. The main dishes for two of our party arrived and we then had a wait of a few minutes before the other two got their dishes plus accompaniments. Dinner for 4 was £160, which is more than I'd expect to pay for Indian food. However, it was definitely not a standard Indian restaurant. I'll definitely go back - but with a view to a more refined evening out with good food, rather than a standard Indian plus beer with a few friends.
Perfect night out. Service was effortless and making meals and cocktails that were not on the menu was a clever touch. Would highly recommend The Indian Manor to anyone.
we had our first meal here on Friday. Food arrived timeously and was freshly prepared. Others commented lighting too bright, but when you have such an interesting menu ou want to see all the items clearly. I therefore chose Tandoori Sea Bass, not something on every menu and it was delicious. Not our last visit!
We had a street food lunch a few weeks ago. This is not the bog standard menu you can get anywhere. Truly authentic food, large portions ( bigger than tapas) so we had a feast. Service was excellent and we are looking forward to returning perhaps to try the a la carte dinner menu.
Fabulous food in a lovely setting. A few minor niggles that meant the experience wasn't perfect. The early evening menu although still shown is no longer available, and we waited for around 20 mins for someone to take our drink order. Tables who had been seated after us were seen to first. Overall though, a great experience and we will be back.
Brilliant atmosphere, great food and service excellent. Street food was new taste for me loved it a must try. manager couldn't speak more highly of his staff and pride in the chefs and the collaboration to changing and adapting the menu to keep it fresh and interesting. Must try delightful 👍
My fav place to eat , we have been going there for a good few months and tried most of the menu . The staff and manager Bunti are all great . If you have not tried it yet you are missing out on a wee gem of a place ..
The restaurant was lovely, the surroundings and the decor were beautiful. sorry i could not say the same for the meals. we felt the portions were a bit on the small side and i got a lamb dish and the lamb was quite grisly and in some parts chewy which spoiled my meal. the food let this restauarant down, i could not fault the service or the staff because they were excellent.
First time at the Indian Manor and I will definitely be back. The food was fresh and tasty. The garlic nan bread was one of the best I have ever had. This is our new go to Indian now. The only small negative was the cost of soft drinks especially the draught fizzy which wasn't overly flavoursome.
Food fabulous. Atmosphere and service superb. Was slightly disappointed as there was no monkfish left but we did go fairly late in the evening. Thought portion sizes were slightly larger than on previous visits which is good as before they were slight small. Love this place.
Food quality at the Indian Manor was excellent, as was the service. Great value for money. The setting would have you think it was going to be a very expensive meal but I was pleased to discover I was wrong. I'll definitely be back.
Fantastic food and wonderful service! I chose to have the street food and can honestly say I have never tasted anything so good even when I lived in Lancashire, not far from the famous Curry Mile. I really hope to be back soon.
ive been to idian Manor 4 times i can not fault this place food is amazing i had oven cooked lamb rogan josh and ow boy its amazing with mushroom coriander rice ten out ten for this indian restaurant food staff brilliant
It was my first time at the Indian Manor, Bothwell. I was soooo looking forward to it ... it's a beautiful building ... & entrance did not disappoint, was very grand ... but I was so disappointed when lead into the restaurant ... I'm sure the decor was very expensive but felt very unwelcoming, the lighting was too high - like having the "big light" on so there was no "mood" or "atmosphere" at all, no ambiance... the food was lovely, really really nice but there was no rapport from the staff, they were not friendly, welcoming or seemed interested, more like going through the motions ... I'm very disappointed and am sorry to say I would not go back 🙁
Excellent food, attentive staff in a comfortable and pleasant setting. We had 5 smaller vegetarian dishes, mostly vegan and each had its own distinctive flavour. I assume the chicken dish one of our table chose was equally tasty.
excellent food , excellent staff attention and service especially as had more guests than originally booked nothing was a bother even though the restaurant was very busy . would highly recommend to friends as have never been disappointed
Been twice to this restaurant. Second time very different from first. Went as enjoyed my first visit. Service odd and inconsistent on recent visit. All staff very young and inexperienced apart from owner/manager. Had to ask for drinks after waiting for at least 10 minutes. Service of food extremely fast and hovering staff whisked plates away just as we put our cutlery down. A two course meal with 2 drinks was over and done with in 50 mins. Overall not a enjoyable experience and no atmosphere in the restaurant. As far as the food goes, main dishes far too salty. Really disappointed and will think twice about returning.
Good food and service. Lacks that final step to get 5 but definitely a strong 4 and would return. If your looking for your normal indian food you can ask for the old classics but the menu doesnt make this very clear.
The food was superb, as was the setting and service. We were running a bit late and the request to put the table back 30 mins was handled professionally and quickly and with no problems.
Nothing to get exited about - nice atmosphere but a little pricy and not a very wide selection - will go back to sample their street food menu which seems to be getting good reviews - will need to be something special to get on to my list of eating places.
Was OK . Food fine service OK no personal touch waited for 10 mins to pay bill no one appeared left money on table no one said Bye, Thanks for coming just nothing bit disappointed as had talked the place up to friends. Completely different experience from my last visit.
Excellent restaurant. Friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable staff. Head waiter explained all the food on street food menu.Tapas style Indian food -so you get to try various foods.Food was superb. Overall fantastic-we will visit again.
The restaurant is lovely, food amazing, service good. Second time visiting had street food last time had the market menu this time ,if you like great Indian food this is for you.
Best Indian food I have had ever, will be going back soon Great staff and we were made to feel very welcome Can't wait to try the rest of the menu
The food was good excellent! We ate from the market menu and it's fantastic value for money plus perfect portions sizes. The staff were excellent, very accommodating! Great baby changing facilities
A lovely meal with a very attentive staff to ensure we were well looked after. Large portions so wasnt able to eat all my main course. Delicious mint tea to finish.
I tried the chicken, garlic and mushroom from the express menu and it was good enough to make we want to go back and try the main menu. The fried rice was a ok, i think boiled rice would have been better. Service was not rushed
Great food and pleasent service, starter and main served within an hour of arriving on a busy Friday night.. decor is lovelly too. Pity about the Bothwell snob beside us, but thats not the restaurants fault
Great meal and surroundings. Very helpful staff will be back again!! My dad is in a wheelchair and the staff were very helpful getting him in and making him comfortable.
Excellent in quality and service. Some very typical authentic dishes on the menu which were similar to cuisine we tasted have tasted in India. Would recommend a visit !!
Really great restaurant. The food is prepared from scratch & you can taste the difference not oily or heavy. Well priced & the staff will go the extra mile.
Delicious food, quick and efficient service. Pre theatre deal is great value for money, otherwise it does seem quite expensive. Seats near the window were cold with draught but did enjoy and would return.
Great food and service! I would definitely recommend. They have all of the traditional dishes you would expect as well as some special dishes I've not seen before.
Best Indian I have been in for years ! Great food service and nice atmosphere ! Definitely recommend to others and already planning out next meal there :)
Food and atmosphere lovely. The staff were very attentive. Portion sizes were quite small - especially the rice. Garlic nan was one of the best i have had
Lovely food Brilliant staff My wife and I have now eaten here twice , they have an excellent choice of freshly cooked food made from the best ingredients
Very nice setting and lovely food, I used a coupon which made the price of the meal very reasonable, but the off the menu prices were good too!
Great meal for Christmas Eve. Staff so attentive and food was superb! Excellent choice on the menu and the chocolate samosa desert could not be more highly recommended.
Service was friendly and efficient. Obviously a busy evening (Saturday), staff were nonetheless good at checking to see we had everything we wanted. Food lived up to our expectations. I would go again.
Most enjoyable visit to the Indian Manor. Staff were all delightful and Itison menu food very good, and great value. . The new regular menus look interesting, particularly the express street food menu.
Great food, great service! We will be back. Decor was well appointed, good range menu size with plenty of extras for all appetites. Fast and friendly service.
Meal was fantastic, couldn't fault a thing about our visit. Traditional Indian meal that you could tell was authentic. Restaurant is lovely and staff were very attentive.
Food excellent ,friendly staff and lovely surroundings.Plenty of room to enjoy your meal no squashed in feeling. Will be going back soon. Will recommend this restaurant to my friends.
