Service was excellent. Food was good. Good location next to the river but sadly the environment is tired and in need of an upgrade especially the toilets.

The host was very friendly and cared about the quality of the food. He offered us a drink or something when he found out we were away for the weekend for our anniversary. We kept it simple with lasagne and fish pie, but both were very nice and made at the pub. The scenery around the pub is beautiful, worth a trip down the lane to get there.

Nice setting but very narrow lane to get there. Our "reserved" table, wasn't. Very busy and no staff. Waited 1.05 mins for meal. Very restricted special menu for Groupon, could buy better elsewhere for less money.

Sunday lunch nothing but average. Over cooked veg, roast potatoes so lightly roasted tasted like boiled. Pork with no crackling. Just average and not worth £13. Remembered was like this last time however I forgot until I tasted it. Won't be going again.

We have been there before so we knew what to expect. The time spent was well worth it with no feeling of being hurried along as can happen in some places.

Came in for father's Day on Sunday. The staff were all lovely and very accommodating! The pub has a very cosy atmosphere and the staff made the experience that much more enjoyable for ourselves. Thanks everyone! The roasts were all delicious and were finished by all. The only down side was it was canned cream rather than pouring for dessert 😋. Cheers Jolly Sailor! See you soon!

Staff friendly, service good didn't have to wait too long for our food. The food looked lovely unfortunately it didn't live up to expectation. 5 out the 6 of us had either roast beef or lamb. The roast potatoes and the meat had been cooked at least 1-2 days previously and reheated and the veg was over cooked. The vegeterian option tasted ok but was served in a soggy puff pastry case. The puddings tasted lovely but were not as suggested on the menu. The lemon torte was actually a lemon gateux. The ferrero Rocher cake was actually chocolate fudge cake with one ferrero rocher stuck on top, the same with malteser cheesecake, just a plain cheesecake with some maltesers stuck on top and the cream was from a can that went like water after a while on your plate. Over all quite disappointing.
