Was pleased with Sunday roast, but was rushed as they had taken another booking for large party so had to vacate our table early. Not happy.

Eating a Sunday roast with the family outside overlooking the lock was lovely. Good food and polite service. This set us up with the energy we needed to head off on a picturesque walk.

Pub was virtually empty, food was embarrassingly awful and waiter couldn't add up and had to be told to bring plates for poppodums, would've scored 1 but giving extra point for band which was good fun. We booked based on good meal we had before but later learned it had changed hands...

Bit of a trek to get there, but worth it for the setting right on the lock and weir - on a sunny Summer day you can’t beat it. A really comprehensive menu for a pub, including a mix of Indian and English dishes. Good hearty pub food at reasonable prices. Excellent.

The food was lovely and service great, only down side was there was several flies around. Apart from that it was excellent and staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Welcome excellent & food fine. Toilets not that clean & smelly. Tables sticky & conservatory windows in need of a good clean. With such a lovely location it is a shame the premises let the place down

An absolutely beautiful location right on the canal and lock with great fun staff and delectable food. The fish pie was so tasty and not a heavy creamy sauce. The curries are very flavoursome

Beautiful location, they seemed to be struggling at the bar with an average amount of people waiting for drinks and food and the food itself was very average, my lasagne was dry, won’t be rushing back for the food, but the view and location is perfect

Excellent, friendly service. Food was high quality, and the servings were very generous. The menu was OK, with a bit of an emphasis on south Asian flavours and dishes. We will certainly be returning, but if the weather is nice, particularly at weekends, you will be wise to book.

We sat down in the conservatory at 12.22 for 12.30 and the staff were ready to take our order . We ordered two soup of the day and two drinks. I had a pint of ginger beer and my guest had a half pint of lemon and lime. We also ordered our main course ,I ordered the beef roast and my guest ordered the lamb . The drinks arrived swiftly , but I'im afraid the soup took 20 mins to arrive after first getting a tour of the garden , then returning to the kitchen and eventually our table , fortunately it was still hot . we then waited until almost 20 min past one for our main to arrive. The beef was plentyfull but stringy the veg overcooked and my guest on the way home said the lamb was tough and hard to cut. So summing up we were not impressed and will not be going back

Very disappointed. We booked a table for 4 people 2 weeks ago and whilst we were shown to our table promptly yesterday, it was quickly obvious that we had walked into complete chaos. The staff behind the bar were working really hard to serve drinks but the pace at which food was served from the kitchen was unacceptably slow. We waited almost 2 hours for food and one meal had to be returned as it was poor quality. It was quickly replaced but it should never have been served in the first place. We will not be returning.

Was a pub full of youths being loud. People smoking weed in the car park. Bartenders didn't help us out for a table for a while and continued to serve people drinks so we left and went to the Riverside Inn which was far nicer

We had a beautiful roast and lovely starter on Mother’s Day. It was great. We pre ordered as mother’s day is busy and the web site aloud this. So it arrived promptly and hot even when the pub was really busy. Thank you!
