Just the best Goan fish curry I have ever eaten. The butter chicken also superb. This chef is a genius. Beers are good too and the people very nice and friendly.
Another great meal and great service from a friendly proprietor and staff. The food is always tasty, the fluffiest rice you'll ever find while portions are of a size that you can enjoy what you like.
Great food - friendly staff - fun atmosphere. Really enjoyed the meal, and the selection of real ales they have available is brilliant too. Definitely would recommend a visit.
Great food, had the large mixed grill and was stuffed. Great smokey taste you only get from the tandoor, go and try it, will definitely be going back.
I booked a table for 4 for our dinner after visiting the theatre, this was our 4th visit to The Keg & Grill and the food was fabulous. The staff are always warm and welcoming.I decided to try their Chicken Biriyani this time and it's one of the best I've had. It's only a small pub but sometimes it's nice to get away from the hustle & Bustle of the city centre
The Keg and Grill is without doubt the best Indian meal I have ever experienced. What makes this place different is that it's a good and authentic real ale pub combined with an Indian restaurant. The food is an excellent standard and above all the Keg and Grill is a warm, friendly and welcoming place. I would recommend the keg and gtill to anyone.
Fantastic food and a great choice of beers to accompany it. Service was swift and by friendly staff. Will certainly return as had a great experience, highly recommended for a place to start off your evening or to while away a night with friends. Make sure you book as it does get busy
We thought the food was fantastic and they had a good range of beer as well. We really liked the informal feel too. More ambient lighting and a few pictures on the walls and general enhancement of overall decoration would make this place even better!
Lovely home made Indian food. Bit of a wait for the food but worth it. The chilli paneer and southern Indian chicken were amazing. Good background music playing and good selection of beers. Credit card machine was not working the night we went, but we only got told when the bill arrived.
Was totally taken off guard with this restaurant / pub. Was expecting something contemporary and a fusion of Steaks & Chicken etc with Indian cuisine. It was effectively a Pub, with pretty mediocre design / décor that serves Indian cuisine. Value for money was poor and the food was good without being great. Absolutely no ambience and with so many great curry houses in the immediate vicinity I wouldn't be seeking out the Keg & Grill. It is bizarre that it gets the ratings it does.
Nice pub with friendly staff serving a large selection of beers including three handpull ales. Nice cosy atmosphere food was very nice we shared a mixed grill and added masala chips and naan which was more than sufficient for two. Would suggest booking at busiest times as dining space is limited.
Enjoyed a couple of pints and a very tasty meal. The food was perhaps a little pricey but the quality was excellent. Service was friendly & efficient service. The decor is a bit basic but the place was bustling, obviously a popular place and rightly so.
Excellent food as always. I had a large grill and my wife had a Lamb Rogun Josh and we both cleared our plates. It was all washed down with a good pint of real ale.
Quick, efficient service. Bar staff friendly, Party of 8 ordered a variety of dishes and everyone greatly enjoyed their meal. It wasn't the first time we had visited the Keg and Grill and it won't be the last.
The food was really nice. Old pub just off the city centre, given a lick of paint. Not a huge selection on the menu but what they served up was excellent. Good service and nice and friendly staff.
Awesome food, great service and a really good pub to boot. What more could you want. I'd recommend this for group or solo visits. The beer selection is also very good.
food a lamb Biryani was fantastic, served with a pint of IPA in a traditional pub setting. relaxed vibe. if I am in Birmingham again, I'd not hesitate to eat/drink here.
Fantastic food and a great social environment. Food was served quickly, menu is simple and there is a good selection of beer Watched the football whilst having a curry :)
Friendly and exc3ellent food as always Highly recomended But these days need to book as great demand for ables almost every night Such a good place for a friendly supper
No frills just fantastic quality food and really friendly great service! Took colleagues from out of town who are still raving about it days after our visit. Will be back!
Excellent restaurant, food was amazing, and staff really welcoming and service was great. Would thoroughly recommend it either for food or a quick drink. The grill is a must!
Pub was clean, friendly and had a nice atmosphere! Food was very tasty and reasonably priced, all in all a great evening! Large mixed grill could certainly feed 2 unless you fancy a challenge!!
Great place to eat - delicious food, good beer and friendly staff. particularly impressive range of vegetarian dishes, which is a refreshing and welcome difference from other restaurants
Some tasty food but very disappointing overall. Tandoori starters were very good. Chilli chicken should be taken off the menu or redeveloped as it was wishy-washy. Main courses were rather small portions and average in flavour. Overall, can do better as what has been delivered doesn't match up to the expectation promised by the website.
Great Indian food and pub drinks at this no-nonsense venue. The mixed grill was amazing and we'll definitely go back for this alone, but everything we had was great (especially the marsala chips!)
Beautiful curry and an excellent choice of beers. Service and decor just right. Prices perhaps a bit pricy, especially the spiced prawn starter but overall a great first time visit. Would strongly recommend
They serve great food and the pub has a nice relaxing, friendly atmosphere. Food is served in good time and there is a decent choice of beer/ales.
Excellent authentic food and decent selection of real ales. Great value for money in a perfect location. I would heartily recommend the mixed grill and naan bread!
Very friendly, good beer, bloody marvelous food. Almost literally across the road from mailbox. Great place to hang out if looking for last-minute table/drink around Mailbox
Excellent. Not the biggest portions I have ever had however it's quality not quantity for me and the quality of the food is right up there.
Great food and service and all food arrived quickly for a table of 8. Good variety of drinks and lovely welcoming staff. Whole table loved it!
Great food and good atmosphere, limited menu compared to others but what they do is excellent and if you have a big appetite go for the mixed grill as a starter.
We were delighted with our visit to the Keg & Grill. The food was great with very friendly staff - we shall certainly visit again.
lovely pub, great service and wonderful food. some of the best and mot authentic indian food that you will find.. top marks to the management
Fantastic food, ales and laid back atmosphere, I would highly recommend the mixed grills as they are plenty of food and great fun to share.
Excellent food and service. Despite the unusual location (and old pub), don't be put off. Best Indian food in Birmingham in my opinion. Highly recommended.
Our first visit and it was extremely friendly and welcoming with great food and beer. We will return next time we are in Birmingham !
Authentic, friendly pub found in the heart of Birmingham. A simple menu at very reasonable prices. But the most recommended is the food. It's excellent!!
Perfect as always. Lovely food and waiting staff. This is the best Indian food in Birmingham and the drinks are lovely too. Great value too!
Good quality food, good value for money and a nice atmosphere. A little gem near the cube not too far from Brindley Place and the heart of Birmingham
Food was served really quickly and the staff were helpful. Reasonable price food and drink. It was really early when we arrived so not sure how busy it would be it's a small pub venue
Lovely food, really enjoyed it. Id like to go back to try other items on the menu..value for money as well. Nice quality, will go back soon!
Tasty and variable grill, but vegies is not the most offered dish.Good grill. I would rec. to meat eaters and grill lovers.Draft beer fine with dish .
Excellent food served by welcoming and helpful staff. Decor is clean and bright, and it is very popular given there are no free tables by 7:30PM!
Great variety of food.... full of flavour and a friendly welcoming atmosphere! Would definately recommend the madras the spice was just right! We'll be back!!
Pub with good authentic Indian food. Friendly service. Fantastic value for money. Meats in mixed grill were dry though - over cooked. Good beer/ale selection.
Great food, good beer and very friendly staff! Offered to change the menu to accomdate food preferences, happy to let us try the ales etc
Nice atmosphere, great staff and most importantly beautiful food. The pakora is too die for and the Bhoona was sensational. Will definitely be back again
Overall a good experience. Small pub with a nice atmosphere. If you're sitting down to eat, it's a bit cramped, but the food is lovely.
It is basically a pub that looks like a back room in an old village hall. Food was tasty but no atmosphere. Not s place to book for a meal but if you already happened to be there is worth eating
