Lovely little local, staff are friendly and welcoming and helpful, food is hot and tasty, love the little small plates, we have never made it to dessert as we are always too full!

1st time for pie and curry night, certainly didn’t disappoint. Great portions, great flavours and great choice. Will be back without a doubt. Wine was above expectations given it was included in the very reasonable price. 👍

Tasty Sunday carvery with a good selection of veg and four meats. Our only criticism is that the meat maybe needed slighly slower cooking to be more tender (although it wasn’t too tough either). Great value and a nice selection of ales, too.

Lovely welcome, lovely food, lovely family friendly, welcome dogs is a plus, great staff, proper pub We all enjoyed everything from a 5 year old to a 84 year old We will definitely be back

Staff are so friendly and helpful, our Sunday lunch was lovely and well needed after a busy days work, we couldnt ask for more, fantastic service and great food.

Nice venue. Reserved table was waiting. Food average. You were served everything at the carvery apart from vegetables. Unfortunately not enough gravy served. Beef a bit chewy.

Had the Carvery. Excellent service, food is delicious. Plentiful choice and variety of dishes. Vegetables are seasoned perfectly. Tried the small plate and this was plenty of food.

Lovely Carvery. One of the Servers was a little abrupt, the other was very friendly and professional. A small plate is sufficient for a good appetite. The food is excellent.

Easy booking online and our table was ready when we arrived. Food was great, they explained that there may be a slight delay on food due to a function being held in the other bar but it really didn’t take long. It’s good to have a local pub that is friendly, does nice food and accommodates kids.

Great as always. Food is consistently as expected,service prompt and friendly. Good portions without compromising quality, good wine list without being overly confusing. Can’t fault it really.

The staff were brilliant and the atmosphere was welcoming. The seafood platter was sumptuous. For us the garlic was a little over-facing and a fresh fruit salad would have been nice as something refreshing to finish with, but the quality of the food was lovely, for example the fish in the fishnchips part of the platter was beautifully lush, tender and tasty. We had a lovely evening celebrating my friend's Birthday.

A beautiful and delicious Sunday lunch with a great choice of meat etc

My Yorkshire pudding was quite cold as I started to eat it, my beef was a bit tough and roast potatoes a bit undercooked and pale. Also, the carrots were mixed with the swede which meant I couldn’t have carrots. Most of my party of 6 in the main, enjoyed their meals though so perhaps I’m just a bit fussy.

Went for a meal out to the knox on August Bank Holiday with my grandparents and it was delicious portion sizes are decent. I had the haddock and leek Lasagne and it was fantastic!

Food was brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed it - portions were a good size (nachos were huge!) and food was very good quality. My steak was slightly less pink than I like it, but other than that couldn’t find fault. Chips were good, blue cheese sauce was lush. Nachos with pulled pork was great -so many times they’re overdone in pubs, but these were lovely. My partners prawn linguini was excellent too. Prawns well cooked and great sauce and flavour. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great choice of dishes on the menu, the fish pie was enormous and very tasty

Service wasn't great. Waiter realised 5 minute later that he didn't charge us for a sharing platter. When the food came out my husband and sons got their and myself and my daughter had to waiting another 5-10minutes for our. Food was greasy, not great overall.

The service was excellent and the food was tasty and plentiful as it always is. Would definitely recommend The Knox to anyone who enjoys homemade fare.

Excellent carvery lunch and dessert. Fresh vegetables cooked perfectly and the biggest Yorkshire Puds I have ever seen. Will definitely be going back again soon

Very poor,some of the food burnt won't be going back, service not good. Only offers a carvery on a Sunday which we thought you could order off the main menu as well disappointed.

A very good experience with good food and good staff, the food was tasty and hot, we will definitley eat there again. Looking forward to it.
