Disappointed with our visit tonight. When we first visited this restaurant it had only been open a couple of weeks. The staff the service and the food was excellent, however tonight wa a bit of a let own. Firstly they couldn't do a chilli tikka masala. You can get the that at any high street take away, so settled for a chicken naga, which was dry and not very tasty. When I mentioned this they said that was the way they Did it. They acknowledged that the chicken tikka was dry and offered a drink on the house. This gesture does not address the main issue, the meal was not up to standard. Has complacency set in? If so this should be addressed ASAP before they lose their excellent reputation.

We have had several meals at The Last Days of the Raj and each has been excellent. the food is delicious and the staff attend to any request with a happy smile. It is a relaxed atmosphere, never rushed so each course can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Thank you for some great meals, we'll be back. Joan.

The meal felt rushed. We were seated and eat a two course meal between three of us in under an hour. Food was good though.

The best in the area. Excellent food with authentic flavours, a great selection of dishes and staff who couldn't be more helpful and friendly. And friends we have taken there have all said the same thing.

Food was very good but service was very slow. The fact that there was a table of about eight being served ahead of us could have been a factor but the staff didn't seem concerned at the time it was taking for meals to be served to other customers.

I went for food with a friend on a Sunday night. The hosts/waiters were all very friendly and everything was served quickly. The food was lovely. I had chicken tikka dupiaza. It was the best curry I've had. All of the ingredients taste so fresh and you get good portions. Would definitely recommend Last days of the Raj and will be going back!

We have eaten here several times and have been made to feel very welcome every time. The quality and taste of the food is as good as anywhere in the North East. The decor is of high quality contributing to the impression of a bright, spotless establishment. The restaurant is obviously popular - I just hope it doesn't become so busy that we can't get a table at short notice!

Certain member of staff was rude from the second we walked in, got the order wrong twice, waited an hour for the main course. Food wasn't any better than a takeaway. Won't be back.
