About The Lime Bar and Restaurant

The Lime Bar and Restaurant is one of the best spots in Southampton for vegetarian and vegan cuisine with a Chinese twist. The food has a definite Sichuan focus and despite being vegetarian and vegan-friendly, there are also plenty of succulent meat dishes on offer. Right on Lodge Street, The Lime Bar and Restaurant also a must for drinks, whether that be juice, organic coffee, wine, beer or a cocktail. The Lime is a very stylish little place just north of central Southampton in Inner Avenue that’s perfect for just about any casual occasion. It’s popular, too, so it’s wise to arrive armed with a reservation.

Good selection of dishes. Some very rare in UK e.g. bullfrog, pigs feet, soft shell crab, pigs intestines!!! Many more exotic items cooked Chinese. The more normal Chinese restaurant menu also is offered and extensive.Food well cooked ,decor very good .Seems like a family run business . Looks like a hybrid of old English pub at front with internal and external Chinese Restaurant areas at the rear of the site . Will definitely go back if in Southampton again.
