A family-run British pub with a homely atmosphere and a well-stocked bar, The Manor is the perfect place for an evening meal, a stop-off from the M1 if you’re travelling or for a large party. You can find them on Nottingham in the heart of Toton, on the outskirts of Nottingham, and when you arrive, you’ll be met with a superb menu, packed with pub grub favourites, as well as a few curveballs thrown in as well for good measure.
There are many things that make the great British pub the institution that it is. The unerring fear that British people have about talking to each other without liquid encouragement might be one of them, for sure, but the hostelries of the country have plenty more than confidence dispensation on their side. Great pub grub, for one, like the menu on offer at The Manor on Nottingham Road in Toton. Head in if you’re coming up past Nottingham on the M1: they’re at Junction 25.
There is a lot to love about The Manor on Nottingham Road in Toton, but let’s focus on the food. This is classic British pub fare, with all the best grill offerings: ribeye steak, gammon, chicken breast and lamb chops. In fact, take them all together for the mixed grill, with bacon, eggs, peas and mushroom thrown in to boot. Add to that a selection of burgers, bangers & mash, steak & ale pie and much more and you’ve got one of the best pub meals in Nottingham – so book a table now.
Lovely food, local atmosphere and relaxed setting We were not hurried and could have stayed all night if we wanted to. Staff were attentive and helpful
Great service, beautiful meal. What Sunday afternoons a made for.
Really nice experience at The Manor. Food was lovely, I had the lamb and paid a bit extra for the large portion with another type of meat, I had the extra beef. Massive plateful, you’d need to be really hungry to finish it off.
Fantastic food, lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Best pub food we have tasted. As good, if not better restaurant. The band were good too.
First time visiting The Manor. There was 4 of us within our party and each of us throughly enjoyed our meals. Staff were very polite, friendly and anything that we required our needs were met. They kept us informed about how long it would take for our meals to arrive. There was a little wait on food but considering everything was cooked to order and it was fresh, we actually didn't mind the wait. Definitely value for money. The portion sizes are very good, in fact just the right size. The only criticism I would suggest for improvement is that heaters are required near the main doors. We were sat at a table near the door and we had a cold draft around our legs and ankles. Everything else was great.
First visit for at least 3 years. What a cheery place it has become, The most excellent young ladies who arranged us a table. The last time we visited "The Manor" the owner was rather brash after my party were not happy with the food being barely warm. Keep up the good work food was hot and good portions. We were asked by friends recently if we would advise a restaurant, without doubt "The Manor" was advised!
We went to the Manor for a Sunday Lunch I booked online which was really convenient and received an email notification to say that the booking was confirmed. We arrived and was promptly shown to our table we all had a Sunday lunch and it was absolutely amazing the food was beautiful. The only reason I have not marked this a 6 is because the place itself was cold (quite uncomfortably cold) and we were sat right next to the window so that probably didn't help. Also the service was a little slow - I understand it is December and they were quite busy obviously leading up to Christmas but we would have had puddings and coffee but sat for about 20 minutes with our dirty plates at the table and despite trying to get the attention of the waitresses I gave up and went to pay. I did tell them and they apologised but didn't ask if they could still get us a pudding or coffee before paying. Very good value for money.
The Manor is a local pub Restuarant, in an area with a quite a lot of competition. For me it more holds it's own, it's clean and tidy there is parking, a decent menu and the chef seems to know what they are doing. The staff are friendly and the beer is cold 😀
Visited The Manor restaurant today for lunch and my wife and I both had the turkey roast accompanied by a decent glass of red each. Followed up with a couple of lattes. Good restaurant, lively crowd and value for money Will return PH nottingham
Met and seated by someone who looked like he didn't want to be there, took our drinks order which came quickly, after 15 mins I went and told them we we ready to order as nobody had bothered to ask, table had water glasses on but we weren't given any water, unlike the last time one of our party visited. The stilton chicken was overcharred which gave it a burnt taste and smothered in sauce to the point of drowning. sauce would have been better on the side, the roast beef dinner was nice but the meat not as tender as it could have been. The lack of childrensmenu gave me predicament as although my daughter is 15 she has a small appetite, so chose from the starter menu and two sides which ended up being far too much and costing as much as an adult meal.
